Myths and legends
The ancients were perplexed by the fact that there was such a towering and beautiful Lushan Mountain, and there were many waterfalls and streams on it.
Therefore, many fairy tales have been made up to explain the origin of Lushan Mountain and its springs and waterfalls, one of which is the story of Qin Shihuang driving mountains and blocking the sea.
It is said that in the process of building a mausoleum for himself, the first emperor of Qin got a powerful whip. Where the whip went, the mountain and the earth split.
The first emperor of Qin Dynasty drew the whip to the corner of Lishan Mountain, and saw that the corner of Lishan Mountain became a lonely mountain away from the Qinling Mountains.
Qin Shihuang even whipped a few more, but unexpectedly, he drove the mountain to Poyang Lake on the South Bank of the Yangtze River.
At this time, it was getting dark at dusk. Qin Shihuang decided to take a rest for a while and wait until dawn the next day to go down to the sea and pave the way to Penglai.
That night, Nanhai Guanyin, who had lost his magic whip, arrived and took away the whip when Qin Shihuang was drunk. The next day, Qin Shihuang woke up and drove the mountain to the sea with his whip. He knew that the mountain was still.
The first emperor of Qin was so angry that he even whipped ninety-nine lashes on the mountain. The mountain was covered with lashes and sweat, but it still stood still.
Qin Shihuang had no choice but to throw down the whip and go back to Kyoto dejectedly.
Since then, the mountain has taken root beside Poyang Lake, which is today's Lushan Mountain. Because the first emperor of Qin drew ninety-nine lashes, it turned into ninety-nine deep valleys of Jinxiang; the whip thrown down by the first emperor of Qin turned into a towering mast peak outside the dragon's head cliff; the flowing sweat turned into a silver spring waterfall among the mountains.
Lushan waterfall is colorful and charming. Zhang Jiuling, a poet of the Tang Dynasty, wrote a poem when he looked at the Lushan waterfall at the mouth of the lake. The poem says:
Ten thousand feet of red spring fall, far away half purple atmosphere.
Under the rush, miscellaneous trees scatter heavy clouds.
The sunshine is like a rainbow, the sky is clear, the wind and rain are heard,
There are many beautiful Lingshan mountains, and the air and water are dense.
Main waterfall
The main waterfalls of Lushan waterfall group are: Sandiequan waterfall, Kaixian waterfall, shimenjian waterfall, Huanglongtan and Wulongtan waterfall, Wangjiapo double waterfall and yulianquan waterfall, etc.
San diequan waterfall
"The five old peaks compete with each other in the north, and the three dragon springs come from heaven." This is the most spectacular waterfall in Lushan waterfall group.
The water of the San diequan waterfall flows out from the big moon mountain. After a long period of slow flow, it passes the back of Wulao peak and is suspended on the big plate stone from the North cliff mouth. Then it flies down to the second level big plate stone. After a little rest, it is sprayed on the third level big plate stone again to form the San diequan waterfall, so it is named San diequan waterfall.
In Ji You Ji, Zeng Liao describes San diequan as follows: "the superior is like clouds, the intermediate is like gravel, and the inferior is like jade dragon walking in the pool." Sandiequan waterfall is known as "the first wonder of Lushan Mountain", so there is a saying that "if you don't arrive at Sandiequan, you are not a guest of Lushan Mountain".
However, the discovery of San diequan waterfall is relatively late among the numerous waterfalls in Lushan. It was not until the second year of Shaoxi reign of emperor Guangzong of Song Dynasty (1191 A.D.) that a woodcutter discovered it. At that time, Zhu Xi was in Bailudong Academy under Wulao peak. He heard about the wonderful scenery of Sandie spring and never forgot it. But he was too old and sick to watch it himself. So he asked someone to draw a picture of Sandie spring waterfall for him. He still felt very sorry and sighed: "I can't express my mind." What's more regrettable is that Li Bai, the great poet of the Tang Dynasty, who once wrote "Wulaofeng in the southeast of Lushan Mountain, golden Hibiscus is cut from the sky; the beauty of Jiujiang can be tied up, and I will nest here in Yunsong". He lived in seclusion in Taibai study hall for years. Taibai study hall is on the top of the screen, and under the screen is jiudiegu, which falls down from Sandiequan waterfall It's a masterpiece.
Visitors can go to see the Sandiequan waterfall from Guling street to Qinglian Temple tea farm near Wulaofeng, then follow the stream to pingfengdi, and look down on the waterfall from top to bottom. You can also walk more than 10 miles from shuaijia village, Dongfeng Township, at the foot of Wulaofeng mountain to the stream, pass Yuchuan gate, and then climb Tiebi peak to tangchengxian, which is on the back path of the cliff, and look up at the Sandiequan waterfall from bottom to top.
Of course, overlooking makes people feel ethereal and floating, while looking up makes people feel majestic. Tourists look up from Tiebi peak. The Sandiequan waterfall is like egrets flying in groups and snow waves flowing. It is also like ten thousand pieces of mackerel silk hanging in the sky and ten thousand pearls throwing in nine days.
The waterfall watcher, who stands on the cliff dozens of steps away, can't help cheering and cheering even though his clothes and face are wet with the water mist blown down by the valley wind.
Maybe they want to comment on it, but the sound of the waterfall crashing down the pool makes them sit and talk without hearing each other. In the twinkling of an eye, the waterfall is folded twice and flows straight into the Longtan at the bottom of the valley. After leaving the Longtan, the water flows along the mountain stream to the downstream gully.
There are many travel notes describing the beauty of the Sandiequan waterfall, among which Wang Shimao, a Jinshi in the Jiajing period of the Qing Dynasty, is the most famous. It reads:
"The stream stops at the top of the mountain, while the spring of San diequan comes down from the highest place in the south of the mountain. The primary stage is like a cloud or a wadding. It is puffed and puffed. It flows onto a large plate of stone. The water and stone rush, but it begins to move back and forth, and the beads burst into pieces.
On the second level stone, it converges into a huge current, and the cliff goes straight down to the Longtan. The floating one is like snow, the broken one is like fog, the decorated one is like a crown, and the hanging one is like a curtain. When it comes to the foot of the mountain, it falls abruptly, surging like boiling soup, running like a jumping heron, and its sound is long. When the wind blows, the thunder blows, and the roar is incessant. It is also like the battle of Kunyang and Julu, where ten thousand people sing their drums, and tile fou corresponding. It is also the greatest spectacle in the world. ······”
Indeed, those who come to watch the flying down Sandiequan waterfall are all attracted by it and forget to return.
There are so many excellent poems by poets about the Sandiequan waterfall. "There is a spring at the head of jiudiefeng, which is clearly connected with the clouds. It's only today that we know how delicious it is. " Since the Song Dynasty, poets and celebrities have come to watch the waterfall, leaving behind many poems chanting the spring! There are clouds that "excite the stone into three folds, drive the cloud to Siming", and there are clouds that "no one knows this victory, and come and go with water elves". Liu Guo's sandiequange describes it like this: "in the beginning, I suspect that avalanches are surging into Tiangu, turning like thunder and rushing down to Yansu. Scattered for flying (P60) light smoke, hanging like silver thread through pearl jade. I'd like to take it as a jade rainbow. I'll ride around the space with laughter and chide, and I'll go to the east of Tianhe. " It has written the victory of the triple spring, which makes people daydream endlessly. In contrast, the Song Dynasty poet Bai Yuchan's long poem "San diequan" describes in detail the majestic momentum of San diequan waterfall from another angle. Its poem says: Yuanxi goes deep into Taohuawu, Zixia speaks with birds.
Nine cliff row green sky, three spring flying dusk rain.
The setting sun holds the mountain red and wet, the cold cloud holds the stone, and the cliff is ancient.
Return to the bottom of the stream to scatter ice flowers, spray on pine shoots and float snow buildings.
Little splash wet Chang'e clothes, there is Fusang house under the pool.
In the morning, it's like a band in the sky. In the middle of the night, it's like a pestle.
Cold into the valley roar a thousand thunder, send the galaxy to blast forever.
The silver toad flies in the Guanghan hall and the jade dragon dance in the Crystal Palace.
Qiongying axe broken not on the old, waterfall day into a non Weaver.
At first I suspect that the fish and turtles visit the dragon's gate, and then I fear that the stars will come to niuzhu.
To find the current point of the amount of Jiao, but see the sky pull intestinal mouse.
Dissolve and soak a pool of frost, and freeze the Millennium milk drop by drop.
The moon shines on the God, the Pearl sprinkles on the Cuilin, and the wind blows on the millet.
Yao Hongjie Bi turns the earth's axis, iron horse scroll heaven.
······
Zhao Mengfu, a poet and calligrapher of the Yuan Dynasty, wrote a poem about water curtain and spring, which describes the beauty of the moon night of the Sandiequan waterfall
The flying curtain is like a jade curtain. It goes down thousands of feet,
Crescent like curtain hook, hanging blue sky in the distance.
You can visit the Sandie spring and watch the jiudieping. Jiudieping, also known as pingfengdien, is named because the mountain is like a screen, jiudien. It is also called pingfengdiejin because the iron wall is like a brocade made of cracked clouds. At that time, Li Bai once lived in seclusion here, as he said: "I'm not helping the people of my generation, and the screen is stacked." Indeed, "Kuangshan cloud brocade jiudiesheng God habitat, boundary sky cliff cloud for the ladder."
