Xiasi Town, subordinate to Jiange County, Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province, is located in the north of Sichuan Basin, the valley in the middle of Guangyuan City, and the north of Jiange county. It is located in the north entrance of JIANMENGUAN scenic spot and the Qingjiang River Basin, with a total area of 109.23 square kilometers,
It is the seat of Jiange County, the political, economic, cultural and industrial center of Jiange County, and the tourist reception base of JIANMENGUAN scenic spot.
Jiange county was established here in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, and Jianmen county was in charge from Wu Zhou to the early Song Dynasty for more than 260 years. From the Ming and Qing Dynasties to 1966, it was located on the right bank of the Qingjiang River (now Xiasi Village). Xiasi township was set up in the Republic of China. Shaxiba was moved in 1966 and Xiasi town was rebuilt in 1985.
Since 1996, it has been developed as a new County in Jiange county. In September 2003, the county seat of Jiange county was moved from Pu'an town.
As of 2017, it has jurisdiction over 7 administrative villages and 9 communities, with a total population of 35665 (2017).
Baoji Chengdu Railway, xi'an-chengdu high speed railway, Beijing Kunming Expressway and 108 National Highway meet here, and Lanhai expressway, Guangyuan airport and Guangyuan port are close at hand. Jianmen area of Sichuan Jiange economic development zone is located in the east of the town.
The urban planning area is 14 square kilometers, and by the end of 2014, the built-up area is 7.51 square kilometers.
Xiasi town enjoys the reputation of "North Sichuan Golden Triangle". It was once a provincial pilot town in Sichuan Province, a key town in Sichuan Province, and a national key town.
On May 7, 2020, the people's Government of Sichuan Province approved Guangyuan City to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in Cangxi County and other three counties (cfgm [2020] No. 1): Shangsi township was abolished, and the administrative areas of Shangsi Township, Qingsong village, Suoxi village, Shunfeng village, Jinxing village, Zhongxin village, Erlong village, Shuangqi village and Jiancheng village in Hanyang town were put under the jurisdiction of Xiasi town, Xiasi Town People's government is located at No. 667, Cuiyun Avenue, Shaxi community.
Historical evolution
Before the Republic of China
Before the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Xiasi town belonged to Jiameng county (Zhaohua Town, Zhaohua District).
From the 22nd year of Jian'an (217 A.D.) to the third year of Yonghe (347 A.D.) in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, the town is located in hande county (now in Hanyang town of Jiange county).
In the third year of Yonghe reign of emperor mu of the Eastern Jin Dynasty (347 A.D.), Jiange county was set up in Xiasi Town, where dacangba is located in leiming community. It was abolished when Emperor Xiaowu of the Jin Dynasty set up Shoujun of the Jin Dynasty.
During the reign of emperor an of the Jin Dynasty, Shiping County (Liao county) and Shiping County (Liao county) were set up in Xiasi town.
At the beginning of Liu Song and Yuan Jia, Shiping County and Qiaozhi County moved to the northwest of Santai County.
In 554 A.D., Dongluo county was set up in Xiasi town and lingyupan county was set up in Qingchuan county.
In 699 A.D., Jianmen county was newly established in Pu'an County, Yonggui county and Yinping county,
The government is located in dacangba, Xiasi Town, which belongs to Shizhou (governing Pu'an County, now jian'ge County, Pu'an town).
In the fifth year of Qiande (967) of the Northern Song Dynasty, Yonggui county (now dianzi township of Jiange county) was abolished and merged into Jianmen county. The governing Office of Jianmen county was transferred from Xiasi town to Jianmen pass.
In 1283, Jianmen county was merged into Pu'an County. Now Xiasi town belongs to Pu'an County.
In the sixth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1373), Pu'an County was incorporated into Jianzhou, and now Xiasi town belongs to it.
In 1872, Jianzhou set up Ti Ren Bao in xiasichang, which is one of the 13 Bao in the whole Prefecture. Since then, xiasichang (now Xiasi village, Xiasi town) continued to serve as a place of governance until 1966.

In the third year of the Republic of China (1914), Ti Renbao was changed to Ti rentuan, and its jurisdiction remained unchanged.
In the 19th year of the Republic of China (1930), the Tiren League was changed into Tiren District, and the Tiren District Office was set up.
In the 24th year of the Republic of China (1935), the Fourth Front Army of the Chinese workers' and peasants' Red Army established Xiasi Township Soviet. Since then, "Xiasi" has been used as the name of the administrative system. In the autumn of that year, 16 districts were reorganized and merged into 6 districts in Jiange County, and Tiren district was merged into the Sixth District (zhijianmen).
In August 1940, the new county system was implemented, the joint insurance system was abolished, and the township and Xiasi Township were set up.
In October 1946, Jiange County readjusted its administrative district, and Xiasi township was the third guiding District of Jiange county.
New China period
After the founding of the people's Republic of China, in January 1950, Jiange County restored Xiasi township.
In August 1952, Xiasi township was assigned to Zhaohua county.
On November 7 of this year, Zhaohua County adjusted the administrative divisions of districts and townships, setting up the Sixth District (Xiasi), which governs shaxiba and governs Shaxi Township, Dacang Township, guaizao Township, Maoer Township and Songgai township.
In 1953, Mao'er township was divided into three villages, namely Wutai, Maliu and shiweng, which were divided into Puguang Township and Xiasi district.
On December 13, 1955, Xiasi district was abolished and its seven townships were classified as Baolun district.
On November 2, 1956, Baolun district was abolished, and its towns were directly under Zhaohua county. Songgai township was merged into Bai Township, and guaizao Township, Shangsi Township and Shaxi Township were merged and renamed Xiasi township.
In 1957, Xiasi district was restored, and the subordinate relationship of the township was the same as before. Restoration of the Temple Township, under the Temple District.
In 1958, Shangsi township was merged into Bai Township, Xiasi district was abolished, Baolun district was restored, and all the townships belonged to Baolun district. In the same year, Xiasi township was changed into Xiasi people's commune; Baocheng railway through Xiasi was opened to traffic, and shaxiba station was set up in shaxiba, so shaxibachang town gradually rose.
In 1959, Zhaohua county was abolished and merged into Guangyuan County, and Xiasi commune was changed into Guangyuan County.
At the beginning of 1966, Xiasi people's commune moved eastward from xiasichang to shaxiba.
In 1984, the grass-roots political power was restructured and the government and society were separated. Xiasi people's commune was restored to Xiasi township.
In 1985, after Mianyang was set up as a city, a new prefecture level Guangyuan City was established. The original Guangyuan County was changed into Shizhong District of Guangyuan City, and Xiasi township was changed into Shizhong District of Guangyuan City. That year, Xiasi township was transformed into Xiasi town.
In 1991, Shangsi Township, Xiasi town of Baolun District, Shizhong District, Guangyuan City and Puguang township of Zhuyuan district were under the jurisdiction of Jiange county. Xiasi district was built in these three townships, and the district office was located in shaxiba, Xiasi town.
In 1992, Jiange County removed the district and built the township into a town. Xiasi District Office was abolished, Puguang Township and Shangsi Township were abolished, and their administrative areas were merged into Xiasi town.
In 1995, Xiasi town separated out the former Shangsi township administrative region and restored Shangsi township.
In 1996, the CPC Guangyuan Municipal Committee and the CPC Jiange County Committee proposed the relocation plan of Jiange County, established Xiasi Economic Development Zone in Jiange County, and correspondingly established Xiasi Economic Development Zone Management Committee in Jiange County, which was responsible for the planning and construction of Xiasi new County, and led Xiasi town and Shangsi Township.
On June 21, 2000, the State Council approved the relocation of the people's Government of Jiange county from Pu'an town to Xiasi town.
On September 28, 2003, the people's Government of Jiange County officially moved to Xiasi town.
In 2003, Xiasi town was listed as a key town in Sichuan Province.
In 2004, Xiasi town was listed as one of the first batch of national key towns.
In March 2006, Xiasi Economic Development Zone of Jiange county was abolished and Jianmen Industrial Park of Jiange county was established, which is located in Dukou community and Daqiao village of Xiasi town. The Management Committee of Xiasi Economic Development Zone of Jiange county is retained as the management organization of Jianmen Industrial Park, and no longer leads Xiasi town and Shangsi township. Xiasi town is directly under the central government of Jiange County, and Shangsi township is no longer under the leadership of the district level organizations that set up Xiasi.
On December 26, 2013, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved the establishment of Sichuan Jiange Economic Development Zone, a provincial Development Zone. The development zone is divided into Jianmen area and Pu'an area. Jianmen area is located in Dukou community and Daqiao village of Xiasi Town, with sewage treatment plant of Jiange County in the East, Mianyang Guangzhou Expressway in the south, Qingjiang River in the West and Qingjiang River in the north.
In July 2014, Xiasi town was listed as the second batch of national key towns.

In Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was on the West Bank of Qingjiang River (now Xiasi Village).
In 1954, shaxiba railway station was built on Baocheng railway. In 1966, Xiasi commune was moved to shaxiba.
In 1985, Xiasi town governed 12 villages.
In 1992, the villages of Shangsi Township and Puguang Township were merged into Xiasi town.
In 1995, the villages originally belonging to Shangsi Township were assigned to the restored Shangsi township.
In 2012, Xiasi town governed 4 communities and 12 villages, including xiuchengba community, shaxiba community, Dukou community, leiming community, Xiasi village, Sanjiang village, Daqiao village, Youyu village, shiweng village, YAOGOU village, Fengya village, Maliu village, Wutai village, guanjing village, Xiaochang village and kongmu village.
In January 2014, Qingjiang community was established in Daqiao village.
