City municipal government decided to build and transform the old railway in the 4.5 km old fellow area in 2011, and build it into a strip park for entertainment, leisure and fitness, and a series of scenic spots and trails. It is a new name card for Xiamen to experience the natural environment.

The Railway Cultural Park starts from Jinbang Park in the East and ends at Heping Wharf in the west, with a total length of about 4.5km and a width of about 12-18m. Along the line, there are main scenic spots of Xiamen Island, such as Jinbang Park, Wanshi botanical garden, huxiyan Park and Hongshan park. According to the cultural structure, the old fellow railway park is divided into four blocks, namely, the railway culture area, the public sentiment living area, the customs experience area and the urban leisure area from north to south, and the four blocks have different charm.

(1) Wenzeng road to Wanshou section, 850 meters long, for the "Railway Cultural area.". It is necessary to build a 200 square meter organ club here to become a place for citizens' leisure and communication. The original dilapidated Railway Office will also be decorated with anticorrosive wood and steel, and transformed into a special canteen of "railway home"; landscape sketches and facilities such as small platforms and train car canteens will arouse people's memory of "guzao" train.

(2) The section from Wanshou Road to Huyuan is a "people's living area" with a length of 1040 meters. There are many residential areas in this section, so the design of the park landscape will highlight the taste of life. Sculpture old fellow with historical and humanistic atmosphere is one of the highlights of the old railway park.

(3) "Customs experience area" is 1382 meters long in the section from Huyuan road to Siming South Road. There is a long abandoned railway tunnel, about 700 meters long. This tunnel will be built into a unique exhibition hall of popular science knowledge of civil air defense and Xiamen railway history.

(4) The section from Siming South Road to Heping wharf is "urban leisure area", with a length of 550 meters. All the way down, some tired, it is here to relax.

The corridor of Railway Cultural Park is divided into three sections a, B and C. Upgrading old fellow railway landscape

The construction of the old fellow railway's honest and legal culture corridor is an important measure to upgrade and transform the landscape of the Railway Cultural Park. In 2011, the municipal Party committee and municipal government of Xiamen decided to transform the old railway in old fellow railway station, which is 4.5 kilometers long from Wen Ping Road to peace pier in Xiamen.
