historical background
Wuhan was the most developed commercial city after Shanghai in old China. After Hankou was opened as a port in 1861, Britain, Germany, Russia, France and Japan successively opened concessions in Hankou. More than ten countries established consulates in Hankou, and many foreign banks, foreign firms, commercial banks, companies, factories and churches settled in Hankou. As a result, a large number of new buildings built with modern building materials appeared in the city in the form of western style or combination of Chinese and Western styles and various variations.
These buildings show the architectural and even urban features of Wuhan, and constitute the urban environment and urban space of Wuhan, which is harmonious and contradictory to the traditional architectural style. Its historical and cultural significance is obvious, and it has typical significance and representativeness for both Wuhan and the whole country.

The main body has six floors and a tower is built on the top, with a total height of 41.32 meters. It covers an area of 350 square meters and a construction area of 2120 square meters.
