Wenchang Pavilion in Tianjin

Wenchang Pavilion is located on the South Bank of the ancient canal (Yu River) in Yangliuqing town, Xiqing District, and on the east side of Yuanbao island. It is across the river from Luling Golf Villa District, about 15 kilometers away from the city center. It is the landmark of Yangliuqing and an important place for cultural tourism. It was built in the fourth year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1576). Kuixing is worshipped in the pavilion. It was burned in 1622 and rebuilt in 1635. It was destroyed again in 1853 and rebuilt again in 1858,

Architectural features

In the Yuan Dynasty, he was granted the title of Wenchang emperor. The lower class offered sacrifices to Confucius.
