Tingziguan, also known as Wangcheng, is located in Huanghe Township, Fenghuang County, Hunan Province. It is the western border of Hunan Province. A few hundred meters to the west is the boundary of Guizhou Province and the starting point of the great wall of southern China.
Tingziguan was first built in 1615, with a history of more than 380 years. Tingziguan is a round Tunpu with an area of 6359 square meters. There were three gates in the East, West and south of the Tunpu, with walls and arrow buttresses, and four battery. Inside the city wall are the barracks and the residence of the families of the soldiers guarding the pass. Time goes by, the sea changes. Tunpu has now become a home for Miao and Han people to live and work in peace and contentment; the gate tower of the ancient city gate has long been damaged in the wind, frost, rain and snow, but the remains of the gate are still the main passage for the residents; the arrow buttress on the city wall has been hard to find with the passage of time, and only four ancient cannons are still majestic.
