Beijing Lu Xun Museum is located at No.19, Section 2, gate of palace, fuchengmennei street, Xicheng District, Beijing. The museum area includes Lu Xun's former residence and Lu Xun's life exhibition hall. Lu Xun's former residence is a national key cultural relics protection unit. Beijing Lu Xun Museum is a museum of social science personages established to commemorate and learn from Lu Xun, a giant of Chinese ideology and culture. It is one of the first batch of national first-class museums in China. It was officially opened on October 19, 1956

Located at No.29, Wusi street, Dongcheng District, Beijing, the New Culture Movement Memorial Museum is a former site museum built on the former red building of Peking University. It is the only comprehensive museum in China that comprehensively displays the history of the May Fourth New Culture Movement. As the base camp of the new culture movement, the birthplace of the May Fourth Movement and the important place of the early activities of the Communist Party of China, it was announced as the No.1 Museum in March 1961 A number of national key cultural relics protection units. Beijing Lu Xun Museum
On October 30, 1923, Lu Xun bought a small house with six old houses at No. 21, santiao, at the gate of the palace, and negotiated for 800 yuan
.
In 1924, Lu Xun designed and rebuilt the small house.
In 1946, Zhu an dealt with the "gift contract" through the district court, and transferred Lu Xun's former residence to Zhou Haiying, Lu Xun's son.
In June 1947, when Zhu an died of illness, the underground party organization of the Communist Party of China sealed up the former residence through the Beiping High Court and protected it secretly.
In February 1949, Wang yeqiu, Vice Minister of the Cultural Heritage Department of the cultural takeover Committee of the Beiping municipal military control commission of the Chinese people's Liberation Army, and others sent people to inspect Lu Xun's former residence at No. 21, three lanes west of the gate of Fuchengmen inner palace, and to prepare for the restoration of Lu Xun's former residence.
On September 20, 1949, the people's Government of Beiping arranged personnel to take care of Lu Xun's former residence, and restored the furnishings of his former residence under the guidance of Xu Guangping

On October 19, 1949, the 13th anniversary of Lu Xun's death, Lu Xun's former residence was officially opened to the public.
On October 19, 1956, the Ministry of culture decided to set up the Lu Xun Museum in Beijing and build an additional exhibition room beside the former residence.

Beijing New Culture Movement Memorial
In 1916, the red building of Peking University (formerly the first college of Peking University) was built as a student dormitory.
In August 1918, after the completion of the red building of Peking University, it was used as the Department, library and liberal arts classroom of Peking University to form the College of Arts of Peking University. The whole building got its name because it was built with red bricks and red tiles.
In 1952, Yanjing University was abolished and Peking University moved to Yanyuan.
On April 28, 2002, the Beijing New Culture Movement Memorial Hall was built on the basis of the red building of Peking University and officially opened to the public

Beijing New Culture Movement Memorial
The New Culture Movement Memorial Hall is a museum of the former site. The visiting areas include the first floor of the former site of the red building of Peking University and the bungalow exhibition hall.
The red building of Peking University is a five storey brick and wood structure building with I-shaped plane, covering an area of 10000 square meters. Because the main body of the building is made of red brick, it is called "red building".

Cultural Activity
On August 3, 1996, with the support and help of Beijing Lu Xun Museum, the newly established Fukuoka comprehensive library of Japan held the exhibition "Takeuchi library · Lu Xun" as a memorial to the opening of the museum, and invited representatives of Beijing Lu Xun Museum to attend the opening ceremony of the exhibition in Japan. Mayor Jingyi Sanghara of Fukuoka met with representatives of Lu Xun Museum in Beijing and presented paintings of local painters to Lu Xun Museum
