Before this renovation, the facilities in the museum were old, the lighting was insufficient, the display cabinets were not sealed enough, and the dust caused serious damage to the effect of the exhibition and the protection of cultural relics. According to reports, the new treasure hall has been relocated from Huangji hall and ningshou palace to the West veranda, Yangxin hall, Leshou hall and Yihe Hall of Huangji hall. The origin of history
In the northeast of the Forbidden City, there is an independent building complex, which is Qianlong building complex. It is the emperor's palace, ningshouquan palace, built by Emperor Qianlong. In the Ming Dynasty, there were only a few palaces built here, which were for the old-age care of the empress dowagers and imperial concubines. Ningshougong district was built in 1689. Emperor Kangxi built ningshou palace for the Empress Dowager. During the reign of Emperor Qianlong, in order to show his admiration for his great grandfather Emperor Kangxi, Emperor Qianlong repeatedly said that he would never be emperor for more than 61 years. When Qianlong was over 60 years old, he began to prepare a comfortable place for his future as emperor. In 1772, it took five years to expand the ningshou palace complex, which consumed more than 1.43 million liang of silver. The reconstructed ningshou palace complex is the epitome of the Forbidden City in terms of structure and system, which is divided into two parts. The front part is the former dynasty with Huangji palace and ningshou palace as the main body, which respectively imitated the Taihe palace, Qianqing palace and Kunning palace in the middle road. The rear part is divided into middle and West roads. In the Middle Road, there is Yangxing hall, and the Department is divided into the Middle Road, the East Road and the west road. There are Yangxing hall, Leshou hall, Yihe Pavilion and Jingqi Pavilion in the Middle Road, Changyin Pavilion and yueshilou in the East Road, yueshilou in the West Road and ningshou palace garden in the west road. In the 60th year of Qianlong (1795) and in the 60th year of Qianlong (1795), he gave the throne to his son, namely emperor Jiaqing. His son, Yu Yan, was Emperor Jiaqing. However, Qianlong didn't move from Yangxin palace to ningshou palace after his return to politics. It can be said that it was only in the name of returning to politics, but not in reality. Ningshou palace was redecorated during the reign of Emperor Guangxu. It was redecorated during the reign of Emperor Guangxu to serve Empress Dowager Cixi. Cixi lived here in her later years for a total of 19 years. At the end of the treasure hall is zhenfeijing, the burial place of Guangxu's favorite princess. During the invasion of China by the eight powers, Empress Dowager Cixi fled West with Emperor Guangxu and executed her before leaving. The zhenfeijing we see now is rebuilt later.
