Manting peak
Manting peak lies on the north side of Dawang peak, its foot is connected, and its height is not as high as Dawang peak. Peak flat terrain, there is a boulder, shaped like incense tripod, called Yan Xian Tan. According to legend, Wuyi emperor once set up a Manting banquet for local people, and the name of Manting came from this.
The red cliff of Manting peak is steep, and the pines are clustered around it, which is like a huge green screen. In the Southern Song Dynasty, Xin Qiji wrote a poem: "the wind blows on the mountain, the crane sounds, and the people in front of the mountain look at the green cloud screen. Penglai seeks yaochi road in vain, but there is a curtain Pavilion in the world. " The word "Manting" engraved on the east wall of Manting peak was written by Wu Sixue in Ming Dynasty. There is a huge stone in the middle of the peak. It is square, big and small. It can seat dozens of people. It is commonly known as "chessboard stone". It is said that Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty sent envoys to Mount Wuyi to worship the emperor Wuyi with dried fish, so it is also called Han altar. It is recorded in Sima Qian's historical records.
According to song Zhumu's records of Wuyi Mountain, on August 15, the second year of Emperor Qinshihuang, Emperor Wuyi, Emperor Taimu, Prince Wei Qian and other 13 immortals opened a curtain for pavilions and decorated hundreds of houses on the flat and wide peak to feast the villagers. More than 2000 men and women came to the summit by following the Hongqiao bridge. At the summit, the Manting Pavilion and the colorful house are covered with red clouds and purple clouds, the golden world is decorated with flowers, and the fragrance is full of fragrance. The drums and music sing together, and the songs are loud and clear. The food at the dinner is not all in the world.
