Hebei Normal University
In July of the 27th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1901), Yin Zou of shuntianfu asked for the establishment of the school of Western and Eastern languages, which was approved on the eighth day of August and was set up on a trial basis. In September, Emperor Guangxu approved the request of Yin of shuntianfu, and sent soldiers outside the gate of Di'anmen to allocate the former site of the bureau to shuntianfu to run a school.
In the autumn of 1902, shuntianfu school was officially named shuntianzhong school. Students were recruited from Jingzhao, shuntianfu, and the children of officials in Beijing. It offers four-year courses in self-cultivation, Confucian classics, Chinese literature, mathematics, history, geography, natural resources, material resources, chemistry, legal system, financial management, drawing, gymnastics, English, French and Oriental.
In 1906, Shuntian middle school was changed into Shuntian higher school. Guangxu 33 years (1907) from the shuntianfu school in the original site to set up (middle school remains). Courses offered include ethics, classics, Chinese, German, English, Latin, mathematics, zoology and botany, material resources, chemistry, military science, gymnastics, etc. The length of schooling is four years. After the revolution of 1911, it was renamed Shuntian University.
In the second year of the Republic of China (1913), Shuntian University was changed into Jingzhao public No.1 middle school; in the fourteenth year of the Republic of China (1925), it was changed into Jingzhao senior high school; in the seventeenth year of the Republic of China (1928), Zhili was changed into Hebei Province, and Jingzhao senior high school was changed into Hebei Province No.17 middle school (located in Beiping); in the eleventh year of the Republic of China (1933), Hebei Province No.17 middle school was changed into Hebei Province Beiping senior high school.
During the Anti Japanese War (1937-1945), some teachers and students moved to Shaanxi and Gansu to run schools. The headquarters of the school was renamed Hebei Beijing senior high school and Beijing Municipal Senior High School by the Japanese puppet regime (1940); in 1949, the school was renamed Hebei Beijing senior high school Learning.
In 1951, Beijing senior high school in Hebei Province was gradually transformed into Hebei Normal College. In summer, 134 freshmen of mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology are recruited. School starts on September 3. At that time, the school had eight teachers. There are 23 employees. Mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology are three subjects in the first year.
In 1952, it was changed into four subjects: mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology.
In 1953, it was changed to two years.
In 1956, it was expanded by Hebei Normal College. Department of Chinese, history, politics, foreign languages, mathematics, physics, chemistry, etc. were set up. Biology was incorporated into Shijiazhuang Normal University (Hebei Normal University, which moved from Tianjin to Shijiazhuang in 1956), with 583 students. In addition, a correspondence course has been set up to recruit 185 correspondence students in physics and chemistry. Li Jizhi is the president.
In 1957, the Chinese Department was added and the chemistry department was changed to the chemistry department.
In August 1958, after Hebei Normal University (Tianjin) moved to Shijiazhuang, the Chinese and history departments of Hebei Tianjin Normal University (now the predecessor of Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts) were merged.
In 1959, the Department of foreign languages (English and Russian) was added. From 1957 to 1960, the school moved from the original site of di'anmenwai (No. 59, beihuangchenggen) to the new site of Heping Street.
In 1961, North China Renmin University was abolished, and some teachers and students were merged into the University, and the Department of political education was established. In the same year, the railway Normal University was abolished, and its students of mathematics, physics and chemistry were merged.
During the cultural revolution, Hebei Beijing Normal University suffered great damage and stopped enrollment for five years. Under the influence of the extreme left trend of thought at that time, at the end of 1969, Hebei Beijing Normal University was ordered to move to Xuanhua, Hebei Province, and renamed Hebei Normal University.
In 1970, the recruitment of students was resumed, and the departments of Chinese, history, politics and education, foreign languages, mathematics, physics, agricultural science (restored to chemistry department in 1973) and sports (added in 1970, including music, art and sports) were set up.
In 1981, the literature system was divided into art department and physical education department.
In February 1979, the Revolutionary Committee of Hebei Province decided that Hebei Normal University should be moved from Xuanhua to Shijiazhuang. In August 1981, teachers and students of history, politics and education moved to Shijiazhuang. In October, the freshmen enrolled in the new address of Shijiazhuang.
In September 1982, the party and government organs of Hebei Normal University moved to the new address of No. 105 Hongqi Street, Shijiazhuang City (now No. 601 Hongqi Street, Shijiazhuang City, which is the address of xianhuihua college and East College of Qianxi campus of Hebei Normal University).
In December 1984, all the relocation tasks were completed.

In June of the 32nd year of Guangxu (1906), Beiyang women's normal school was founded. It was located in Sanma Road, Tianjin, and immediately moved to Tianwei Road (now the site of Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts). The founder is Fu Zengxiang, the Prime Minister of Tianjin Women's school appointed by Yuan Shikai. On June 1 of that year, Beiyang women's normal school held an entrance examination. The first batch of 46 students were enrolled, and they were officially enrolled on June 13. Ta Kung Pao published a news saying: "the development of women's schools in Congzi should be based on this.". According to the article in the dictionary of education, Beiyang women's normal school is "the earliest women's normal school in modern China".
In the spring of 1912, Beiyang women's normal school was renamed Beiyang women's normal school.
In May 1913, Beiyang women's normal school was renamed Zhili women's normal school;

In September 1928, it was renamed the first women's normal school of Hebei Province. After entering the Republic of China, the curriculum includes philosophy of life, citizenship, Chinese, English, psychology, pedagogy, teaching materials and methods, education administration and organization, ethics, history, geography, biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, music, physical education, health education, library science, primary school teachers' Application of music, primary school teachers' application of fine arts, primary school teachers' application of Arts and crafts, family affairs and education management And administrative visit practice, military division nursing, etc. Length of schooling: one and a half years for simple subjects, four years for complete subjects and five years for undergraduate courses.
In the spring of 1929, the first women's normal school in Hebei Province was set up (attached with normal and middle school departments). In June of the same year, the Hebei provincial government decided to set up a women's normal college in Hebei Province within the first women's teacher's college, with Qi biting (Guoliang), President of the first women's teacher's college, as its president. During the summer vacation, two classes of Chinese and home economics freshmen were enrolled in Tianjin and Beijing, and the school began on September 10.
In September 1930, the institutions were merged, with the college as the general name, and divided into five departments: college, normal school, middle school, primary school and kindergarten. So far, Hebei Provincial Women's normal university has built a complete teaching system from kindergarten to attached primary school, secondary normal school and higher normal school. Before the Anti Japanese War, there were seven departments including Chinese, home economics, English, history and geography, education, music and sports.
In 1937, after the Lugouqiao Incident, Tianjin was occupied by the Japanese, and the female teachers in Hebei were forced to stop. Under the leadership of President Qi biting, a small number of teachers and students fled to Xi'an. Together with Peking University, Beiyang Institute of technology and Peking Normal University, they formed Xi'an temporary University. Some of the teachers and students of female teachers were incorporated into the relevant departments of the school of education of Xi'an temporary University.
In April 1938, Xi'an Linda moved to Chenggu near Hanzhong, and its name was changed to national northwest United University. In July of the same year, the College of education of Northwest Associated University was renamed normal college, with eight departments of Chinese and English, history and geography, mathematics, physics and chemistry, education, physical education and home economics, as well as labor majors.
In August 1939, the national northwest United University was renamed National Northwest University. The normal college was independent and renamed National Northwest Normal College. At the same time, the Department of civic education and the Department of natural history were added. So far, there are ten departments and one department in the normal college.
In 1941, the national Northwest Normal University established the Lanzhou Branch in Shilidian on the North Bank of the Yellow River
In 1942, the headquarters of Northwest Normal College was moved from Chenggu to Shilidian, and the part of Chenggu was changed to branch.
In November 1944, Chenggu branch moved to the headquarters of Shilidian, Lanzhou. In addition to the original ten departments and one subject, the whole college added five specialized subjects: Chinese, history and geography, physics and chemistry, foreign language and physical education.
After the summer vacation in 1946, Hebei Provincial Women's normal university officially resumed its school at the original site of Tianwei road. After the resumption, there were five departments of education, home economics, Chinese language, sports and music in Hebei women's Normal University, each of which enrolled one class and opened on October 28 of the same year.
In January 1949, after the liberation of Tianjin. In the summer vacation of the same year, in order to meet the needs of the development of education in New China, the National College of traditional Chinese sports was merged into the female teachers' College, and male students were added to the Department of physical education; the Department of home economics was canceled, some of its courses were merged into the Department of education, and preschool education specialty was added to the Department of education; drama group was added to the Department of music, and the Department was changed to the Department of music and art. Due to the fundamental changes in the composition of the students, the name of the female normal university was changed to Hebei Normal University.
