Jianfu Palace
Jianfu palace is a palace building of Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is located on the west side of the six palaces in the west of Neiting West Road. It was built in 1742 by using the four palaces in the west of the five palaces in the west of Qianlong and the narrow area to the south. It was rebuilt in 1802. Jianfu palace is a long and narrow courtyard from north to south. It is about 21m wide from east to west and more than 110m long from north to south. Starting from Jianfu gate, the whole courtyard consists of four important buildings, namely Fuchen hall, Jianfu palace, Huifeng Pavilion and jingyixuan.
architectural composition
Jianfu gate is the main gate of Jianfu palace. It is located in the middle of the palace wall at the south end. Inside the gate is the first courtyard, and the Fuchen hall stands in the middle. Fu Palace was built behind Fu Chen hall, which was connected by a wide corridor. There are 9 corner corridors in the East and west of the back eaves corridor of Fuchen hall and the front corridor of Jianfu palace.
Jianfu palace has 5 rooms in width and 3 rooms in depth. The yellow glazed tile green edge curling shed rests on the top of the mountain. Under the eaves, the Dou arch is built. Four three intersecting six water caltrop doors are installed between the front and back eaves. The front eaves between the secondary eaves and the tip are sill windows, and the back eaves are brick walls. The indoor light and secondary space are separated by fans, forming a pattern of "one light and two dark". In the Ming Dynasty, a fan was also set up between the eaves and pillars, and a throne was set up in front of the fan, with a plaque of "not for things first" written by Emperor Qianlong. All the fans are painted with black lacquer and gold. The heart is double-layer lantern with brocade lattice. The middle is sandwiched with yarn. The skirt board and tapestry ring board are painted with colorful auspicious patterns. The back eaves of the East and West rooms are respectively equipped with red lacquer Kang cover and floor cover, and the floor cover of the west room is dedicated to the shrine. The soft ceiling is set on the roof, and the ceiling and the wall are pasted with silver paper with flower pattern. The decoration of Jianfu palace is rich in color and exquisite in workmanship, which is the representative work of the interior decoration of the Forbidden City. Through the corridors on both sides of Jianfu palace, you can reach the third entrance courtyard, and the Huifeng Pavilion is in the center of the courtyard. In the north of the pavilion, the last courtyard was separated by a red wall. The jingyixuan and Huiyao buildings in the courtyard were later divided into the West Garden (Jianfu palace garden).
Main uses
Jianfu palace was originally built for Emperor Qianlong's purpose of "preparing for the emperor's benevolence and longevity, and then living here to keep the system", but it didn't do so for some reason. Emperor Qianlong was very fond of Jianfu palace. He often came here to have a rest and chant a lot. His famous works include Jianfu palace Fu and red pear flower poem of Jianfu palace. After the Qing Dynasty palace custom, every year Jiaping Shuo day (the first day of the lunar month), the emperor imperial palace to write a Book blessing, to celebrate the new year. Emperor Xianfeng once served imperial concubine Huang GUI to eat here, and empress xiaodexian and empress xiaozhenxian (Ci'an) were also placed in this palace. Now the building is in good condition.
Historical evolution
Jianfu palace garden was built in 1740, the fifth year of Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty. Emperor Qianlong collected his favorite rare cultural relics here, and often wrote poems and paintings in the garden. In Jiaqing, it was ordered to be sealed up and became a real treasure house.
On June 27, 1923, a mysterious fire broke out in the garden, and the whole garden, together with countless treasures, turned to ashes overnight. Puyi, the last emperor of the Qing Dynasty, who was still living in the Forbidden City at that time, suspected that eunuchs had stolen and set fire to destroy the evidence.
Since then, Jianfu palace garden has been sleeping under the rubble for 80 years.
Reconstruction project
Jianfu palace is located in the northwest corner of the Forbidden City. It was approved by the State Council for reconstruction in 1999. It is the only reconstruction project approved by the State Council so far. In 2006, after the restoration of Jianfu palace, Xiao Yanyi, vice president of the National Palace Museum, said at that time that the garden area of Jianfu palace was used as a special place for receiving senior guests from various countries, holding cultural and academic exchange activities, press conferences, small internal exhibitions and other purposes, and was not open to the public. Feng Naien, a spokesman for the Palace Museum, said the garden of Jianfu palace was completely destroyed by fire in 1924. In 1999, with the approval of the State Council, it was rebuilt on the ruins of the fire site with the donation of the Hong Kong China Heritage Conservation Foundation, which was completed in 2005. In terms of architectural form, it adopts the way that the appearance and technology follow the original appearance of ancient buildings, and the interior decoration meets the modern use function and security requirements.
He said that the restored Jianfu palace garden is completely managed by the Palace Museum and is mainly used to receive international and domestic VIP visits, hold cultural salons, lectures and other cultural and academic exchange activities, and hold press conferences. There is no such thing as a private club for the so-called top rich. The specific administrative organization is the garden management section of Jianfu palace of the Palace Museum, and the daily maintenance service is undertaken by the Beijing palace culture company under the Palace Museum.
After the completion of the restoration of Jianfu palace garden, he has received former US President Bush and his wife and other donors, as well as curators of the Louvre, the British Museum, the Metropolitan Museum and other museums. The first formal talks of historic significance between the two sides of the Strait at the National Palace Museum were also held here. Reception for important state guests, such as the Ministry of foreign affairs and the Ministry of culture, has been arranged here. At the same time, we also received a number of social organizations and student groups from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and all over China. Quite a number of press conferences for exhibitions, seminars, etc. of the Palace Museum are held here.

On May 14, 2011, an insider disclosed that on April 23, 2011, he and more than 100 graduates of the CEO class of Cheung Kong business school were invited to attend the opening ceremony of the first Jianfu Palace Club. Rui Chenggang, the host of CCTV, said on Weibo, "I heard that the entrance fee of Jianfu Palace Club is 1 million yuan. 500 members is 500 million. This is enough money to build five Jianfu palaces. In that year, Hong Kong property developer Chen Qizong donated US $14 million to repair Jianfu palace. After completion, it will be handed over to the palace museum management department. He certainly did not expect that one day the Palace Museum would repay his kindness in this way. The Forbidden City belongs to every Chinese. "
