Crop industry
There is little arable land in Wang'an Island, which only produces sweet potato, peanut and sorghum. Therefore, most men make a living by fishing, while most women's jobs are drying fish and Mending Nets. Due to the progress of fishing technology and the fact that warm and cold currents meet everywhere, there are a lot of migratory fish. In addition to local consumption, the fish caught by fishermen are also supplied to Taiwan. In addition to fishing, there are coral fishing, aragonite mining and other industries, so although the land is poor, the people are not poor.
Wang'an island is 18 nautical miles away from Ma'an. There are "Heng'an" and "Guangzheng" ships running in between. There is also a small airport on the island with irregular flights to Taipei and Kaohsiung. The traffic between Wang'an island and neighboring islands depends on traffic boats, and the voyage is generally about half an hour.
