Tieying site
Tieying site is located in the east of houtieying village, Chengfu Town, Qiaocheng District, Bozhou City, Anhui Province, and on the North Bank of Zhanghe River.
brief introduction
In 1988, the villagers dug out some stone tools, pottery, bone ware, clam ware and other primitive people's production and living utensils. In 1993, the national Department of cultural relics and archaeology, the provincial cultural relics investigation team and the archaeologists of the University of Florida jointly excavated a large number of ancient cultural relics. According to textual research, Tieying site is a place where primitive people lived in the primitive Dawenkou period. Therefore, some archaeologists at home and abroad are very concerned about this.
Cultural Relic
It is an ancient site of Neolithic period and a cast iron site of Western Han Dynasty. It is now a key cultural relic protection unit in Bozhou City. In 1988, the villagers dug up many Neolithic stone tools when they were digging soil and firing bricks, which attracted the attention of Bozhou cultural relics department and strengthened the protection. In 1989, the city museum went to collect nearly 100 unearthed cultural relics, mainly iron, stone and a small amount of pottery. In October 1993, Anhui Provincial Institute of archaeology, together with the Department of history of Anhui University, carried out an archaeological excavation of the site. Iron, stone, jade and pottery were unearthed.
