Weiji landlord manor is located in Weiji village, Weiji Township, Huimin County. It was built in 1893 (the 19th year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty).
Located in Weiji village, Weiji Township, Huimin County, it was built in 1893 (the 19th year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty). It is the residence of Wei Zhaoqing, the fourth grandson of Wei Yubing, a doctor of the Ministry of household in the Qing Dynasty. The manor is composed of three parts: Castle, square and pond. It is rectangular, 84 meters from north to South and 46 meters from east to west. It covers an area of 5.7 mu. The outer brick wall is 10 meters high, 3 meters wide at the bottom and 1.5 meters wide at the top. It is a closed house with vertical wall built inside and crenels built outside. Blockhouses were built at the southeast and northwest corners of the courtyard, and shooting holes were all over the upper part of the inner wall and the blockhouse. There are 256 houses with 48 existing ones, all of which are of brick and wood structure; the front courtyard, the middle courtyard and the back courtyard are respectively quadrangles composed of halls and corridors. The main hall is a two-story building with a gable door and a flap suspension bridge connected with the wall. The manor layout is rigorous, the houses are painted with beams and carved buildings, and there are pottery birds and animals on the ridge roof eaves, which is quite characteristic of traditional architecture in northern China. It is a key cultural relic protection unit at the provincial level.
