Guoshan Park
Located in Shunqing District of Nanchong City, Guoshan Park was built in 1921. In 1979, the municipal garden management office made a comprehensive planning for Guoshan park. It is planned to expand the park from 2.5 hectares to 4 hectares. The park is divided into leisure square, cultural square, eight banyan square and "Shun Lu uprising" memorial platform. The famous Kuige is located in the cultural square. In 1988, the memorial platform of "Shun Lu uprising" was built at the site of "Shun Lu uprising" oath meeting in the park.
Development history
Guoshan park is located in the lower half of Nanchong City, Sichuan Province, adjacent to Jialing River in the East and workers' Cultural Palace in the West. It was founded in 1919 on the open space under the Confucian temple and Kuige. It was rebuilt in 1925 and renamed as "Guoshan Park". It covers an area of more than 10000 square feet. The second line of the vertical road connects with the streets and roads, and the horizontal road connects with several curved channels, connecting more than 10 places of interest, including the Confucian Temple (1925) Nuoxingmen, Zunxian Pavilion and Kui pavilion have a long history and were built during the reign of Kangxi and Jiaqing in Qing Dynasty.
Before liberation, there was no special organization to manage gardens in the park, and no one was involved in the management and development of the park, which became an open-air market. After liberation, recovery park. Because the garden was a collective institution at that time, it was unable to build the garden and could only maintain its original state. During the ten years of civil strife, the garden was seriously damaged, and the cultural relics such as guxingmen, Banchi and Shiqiao disappeared. After the end of the cultural revolution, the party and the government were very concerned about the garden construction. They set up Nanchong Garden Management Office, paid money to build the gate of the Park, and built a flower bed at the site of Shunhu uprising. As well as bonsai, full of painting hall, children's playground, Huawu Pavilion, zoo, aquatic products Museum, tea garden, electric sea and air toys, etc., the park has greatly changed its appearance. At the same time, it also focuses on the cultivation of "Nanchong Liberation Monument". The monument is beautiful, solemn and majestic, towering and outstanding, which has become one of the important landscapes in the park.
Main attractions
Kui Pavilion, also known as Kui Guang Pavilion and Kui Xing Lou, is located in Guoshan Park of Nanchong City. Kui Pavilion is the only historical relic preserved in the park. It was built by Wang Yanqing, the magistrate of Nanchong County in the 11th year of Jiaqing reign of the Qing Dynasty. It is a brick, stone and wood structure, with a height of 27 meters. The base of the pavilion is xumizuo, 2 meters high, 4.7 meters long and 11 meters in diameter. The first floor is 5.6 meters high, with Kuixing image in the center. In the southwest of the gate, there is a couplet on the gate, which reads "a hundred feet of jade tower, looking up to the first place in Guozhou, a large colored pen, Jiashui article", with a horizontal inscription of "master of civilization", meaning "Kuixing diandou". The second floor is 4.4 meters high, and there are statues of gods. The third floor, 8 meters high, is a clock tower. It has struck the clock three times a day in the morning, middle and evening. The original bell has been destroyed, and the existing bronze bell was cast in the 17th year of the Republic of China. There are 24 copper bells at the corner of each pavilion. The breeze blows and the sound of Ding Dang is melodious. The top of the pavilion is Baozhu top, 1 meter high. Kuige is magnificent and has extraordinary momentum. Kuige is a JK square three-story wooden structure. Due to years of disrepair, the wall has been broken, and Kuige is inclined, which is a dangerous building. Nanchong Kuige is a cultural relic protection unit in Sichuan Province.
