It is located in Dengjiashan, Yangba village, Huoli town. Dengjiashan, also known as dengjiafen, is composed of two parallel earth hills in east-west direction. The mound is 5-10 meters above the ground and faces the river in the south. The original area of the whole mound is 20000 square meters. Later, because the villagers took soil to burn kilns, only 5000 square meters are left. In July 1985, according to the clues provided by the local farmers, the municipal cultural relics survey team went to the field and collected many unearthed cultural relics. In August of the same year, the archaeological Department of Nanjing Museum identified it as an ancient cultural site from the Shang Dynasty to the Western Zhou Dynasty. According to the profile of the mound, the cultural layer of the site is under 20 cm of arable soil. The cultural layer is clearly divided into five layers, with a thickness of about 3 meters and well preserved. The soil layer of the site is rich in contents and various in shape. Most of them are pottery, including fragments of Cuan, Cuan, Dou, Ding, Cuan, Cuan, box and pot, as well as a small amount of primitive porcelain and fragments of stone axe. There are mat pattern, rope pattern, Hui pattern and additional stack pattern on the pottery. In addition, a large amount of burnt soil containing rice husk was found. It shows that agriculture and handicraft industry had reached a considerable level at that time. The Shang and Zhou sites in Dengjiashan are more than 3000 years old, belonging to the Hushu culture (also known as Wu Culture) in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. This discovery not only makes up for the lack of research data of Hushu culture, but also provides detailed data for the study of ancient people's living habits and productivity development in Ma'anshan and southern Jiangsu. In November 1985, the site was listed as the first batch of key cultural relics protection units in the city.
