Yunjinghong

Yunjinghong is located in Jinghong City, the capital of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, the people's Republic of China. "Yunjinghong" is translated by the Dai people as "the capital of dawn", which means capital in Dai language. Therefore, people are used to calling it "Liming city".

Therefore, people used to call it "Liming city". "Liming city" used to be the location of the Xuanwei department in Cheli, where the Dai chieftains lived. It was called "zhaopianling" in Dai language, which means "the master of the vast land".

City of dawn

The main streets of Liming city are Minzu road and Dongfeng Road. In the green oil palm tree corridor on both sides of the motorway, betel nut, mango, scallop, palm and coconut forests are interspersed, which exudes subtropical fragrance all year round. The two green promenades separate cars from bicycle lanes on both sides, making the bustling traffic orderly. Pedestrians, all walking on the sidewalks on both sides of the bicycle lane. Cangjiang road from east to west is another street in Liming city.

the Water-Sprinkling Festival of the Dai and some other minority nationalities

During the water splashing Festival, red phoenix flowers are in full bloom on both sides of the street. The most prosperous and bustling central street is the post and telecommunications building, department store, Xinhua Bookstore, state-owned hotel and other buildings. The four streets gathered at the central street stretch out in four different directions. Nearly ten kilometers of Ring Road, wide and flat, roadside phoenix trees, silver birch and oil palm, red and green, like a big wreath around the city. Peacock Lake in the center of the city is just beside the building of the State Party committee and the state government. The green water is rippled, the water lilies are in full bloom, and it is beautiful and quiet. It is a place for people to visit and walk.

Peacock Lake

Peacock lake is located in the center of Yunjinghong, covering an area of 18700 square meters. Surrounded by lake water on three sides, it is as clear as a mirror. In 1977, it was opened as a park with pavilions, waterside pavilions, exotic flowers, peacocks, python, foxes, boars, monkeys, myna, thrushes and other rare animals. On the Bank of the lake, there is a Dai style waterside pavilion. The lake water is clear, green waves are rippling, and water lilies are in full bloom. The quiet lake reflects the tall and straight oil palm, shell leaf, betel nut and coconut on both sides of the street. It is a good place for tourists to enjoy the cool and rest. There are boats in the lake. Visitors can paddle on the charming peacock lake and enjoy themselves.
