The memorial of the battle of liberation of Yijiangshan Island

Located at the northern foot of Fengshan mountain, Jiaojiang City, Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province, the memorial site for the liberation of Yijiangshan Island campaign is composed of battle exhibition hall, martyrs memorial hall, memorial tower and tomb area. The building is magnificent and the environment is quiet. In January 1955, the army, navy and air force of the people's Liberation Army were ordered to fight jointly for the first time and launched a fierce attack on Yijiangshan island. Within two hours, the island was liberated at one stroke. So far, all the coastal islands in Zhejiang were liberated, and the people were able to live and work in peace and contentment. At present, the museum is a national key martyr memorial building unit, and also a national patriotism education base of the Ministry of civil affairs. Located in Jiaojiang District, Taizhou City, the scenic spot has been listed in the list of 100 national Red Tourism classic scenic spots and is a national patriotism education base. The scenic spot is composed of the martyrs' cemetery of Yijiangshan Island, the landing War Memorial Hall of Yijiangshan Island, Dachen Island, Yijiangshan island and other scenic spots. The whole scenic area is divided into city block and Sea Island block.
