Baoyun Temple
There is a tower in Baoyun temple, 36.5 meters high. The tower is an octahedral pyramid brick and wood structure. There are doors on four or more floors. The architectural styles of each floor of the tower are different, either into Yuanyang Dougong or plum Dougong. It is powerful, simple and majestic. If you climb to the top of the tower, you need to have some courage, because you have to go around the tower half a circle to find the entrance on the other side. Baoyun tower, formerly known as Qingtian tower, is located in the east of the old city village in the southwest of Hengshui City. The pagoda was originally in Baoyun temple, so it is called Baoyun pagoda.

Historical vicissitudes
It's also a pleasure to visit the temple and feel the "Millennium immortal grass" and the vicissitudes of history. "Millennium immortal grass" belongs to Orchidaceae, also known as iris, is a perennial herb. This plant in the temple was planted by Wang Zhihuan, a great poet of the Tang Dynasty.
In the second year of Tang Kaiyuan, the 26 year old Wang Zhihuan was highly appreciated by the prime minister Zhang Jiuling, and was recommended to Hengshui county at that time. Before leaving, I saw that there was iris sinensis in front of Xiangye's house. It touched the scene, so I said to Xiangye: this grass is not greedy for fat and water, and will be green for thousands of years. Since the wise Prime Minister trusted me, the students must be like this greedy iris lactiflora, not afraid of the wind and frost in the official career of serving the country and the people, and always uphold the just nature of the literati.
And ask for a few planted in Hengshui, leaving the eternal story.
