Xu Xiake's former residence consists of his former residence, Shengshui bridge, qingshantang stone carvings, Xu Xiake's tomb and Yangsheng garden. The former residence is a Ming style building with a plaque of "Xu Xiake's former residence" inscribed by Comrade Lu Dingyi on the front courtyard. In the exhibition hall, there are Xu Xiake's biography, travel route map, pictures and materials of his scientific exploration area, karst specimens, etc. on the right side of the patio, there are Luo Hansong, who was transplanted by Xu Xiake himself and has a history of more than 400 years. The stone inscriptions of qingshantang, a collection of 76 pieces of stone inscriptions, are composed of 90 biographies, prefaces and memorials written by 84 celebrities for the Xu family from the third year of Hongwu to the fifth year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty in 262. Xu Xiake's tomb is located in the backyard of qingshantang. There is a statue of Xu Xiake in front of the tomb. On both sides of the statue are inscriptions written by former president Li Xiannian and inscriptions written by former Vice Minister of communications Pan Qi. The whole tomb is solemn and quiet.
Former residence of Xu Xiake
Xu Xiake's former residence is located in Nanqi village, Mazhen Town, Jiangyin City. In the late Ming Dynasty, Xu Junquan, Xu's nephew and grandson, was rebuilt.
By 1984, there were only seven two-way tiled houses in Xu Xiake's former residence. In 1985, the government allocated funds for renovation. The former residence is a Ming style building with a plaque of "Xu Xiake's former residence" inscribed by Comrade Lu Dingyi on the front courtyard. In the exhibition hall, there are Xu Xiake's biography, travel route map, pictures and materials of his scientific exploration area, karst specimens, etc. on the right side of the patio, there are Luo Hansong, who was transplanted by Xu Xiake himself and has a history of more than 400 years.

Historical evolution
It is composed of former residence, Shengshui bridge, qingshantang stone carving, Xu Xiake tomb and Yangsheng garden.
There are three rooms, 17 main rooms and two wing rooms, covering an area of 2 mu. On the front of the gate is a plaque of "Xu Xiake's former residence" inscribed by Comrade Lu Dingyi. On both sides of the gate are stone tablets. The back of the door is engraved with "shengqizuwu" brick forehead. In front of the hall, there are brick carvings of "Chengqian yuhou". The chamber and hall are set as exhibition rooms to display Xu Xiake's life story and karst specimens. There is an ancient Podocarpus in the second well. It is said that it was planted by Xu Xiake. It is about 400 years old.
The second entrance hall is the "Chong auditorium", with a portrait of Xu Xiake hanging in the middle, displaying the paintings and calligraphy works of contemporary calligraphers and painters in memory of Xu Xiake, as well as the scenery photos of Xu Xiake's travels. Shengshui bridge is built on Zhentang River in front of Xu Xiake's former residence. It is said that it was the berth of Xu Xiake's traveling ships. The bridge has a history of about 400 years. Rebuilt in 1985, it maintains the style of Jiangnan bridge in Ming Dynasty.
Inscriptions on stone carvings
The stone inscriptions of qingshantang, a collection of 76 pieces of stone inscriptions, are composed of 90 biographies, prefaces and memorials written by 84 celebrities for the Xu family from the third year of Hongwu to the fifth year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty in 262.

Travel notes stele Gallery
Yangsheng garden is a Jiangnan garden with the stele Gallery of Xu Xiake's travel notes as the main body in 2001 in order to express the admiration and commemoration of Xu Xiake, the "sage of the world". Located between the former residence and qingshantang, the garden covers an area of 20 mu, with rich connotation and elegant taste.
Cultural relics protection
Xu Xiake's former residence and qingshantang stone carvings are national key cultural relics protection units. They are listed as Jiangsu patriotism education base and Jiangsu moral education base. Scholars and tourists come to visit every day. Xu Xiake's former residence warmly welcomes all walks of life and tourism lovers to visit.
