position
On the southwest plain of Shandong Province, there stands an ancient city, Yuncheng. Lu Chenggong four years (587 BC) to build a city for Yun, began
The name of Yuncheng. In the middle of this ancient city, there stands an ancient pagoda, which has become the symbol of ancient Yuncheng with its numerous moving legends.
Shape and structure
Yuncheng barren pagoda, also known as Guanyin Temple Pagoda, Guanyin Temple Pagoda is a brick Pagoda with eight edges and four doors. It has four floors and is composed of exquisite brick carvings and brackets. The East, the west, the South and the north are respectively set with a top gate, and the other four are brick windows. The chamber of the pagoda and the top of the Buddhist niche are made of layers of brick bucket arches. The bucket arches are well made, and the layers are closed in. The structure is rigorous, and the arrangement is well arranged. The top of the corridor in the pagoda is also made of brick bucket arches.
It is said that the love between Li Tianwang of tota and Nezha's father and son is getting deeper and deeper. Then the heavenly king broke the pagoda which was given by the Buddha to subdue Nezha into three parts and abandoned it to the gate of heaven. Suddenly, the strong wind blows all around and makes the sky dark. The bottom of the pagoda falls to Yuncheng, the body of the pagoda falls to Juye, and the top of the pagoda floats to Jinxiang. Therefore, the towers of the three counties are the same.
According to the records of yuncheng county annals, in 1448 A.D., Xingyang was conquered by the river. In July, Yuncheng was occupied by the enemy. The tower was silted up to two floors. There are only four floors above the surface, about 32 meters high. When the ancient pagoda was repaired, the engineering department drilled down from the ground. There was still a pagoda at a depth of 15 meters. It is still a mystery how high the pagoda is. The perimeter of the second floor is 40 meters, and the perimeter of the lower floor is 44 meters. Although it has gone through wind and rain, it is also eroded, but it is still a beautiful scenery with its lofty and ancient simplicity.
Beautiful scenery
The tower is surrounded by green water, and the bank is covered with trees. At dawn and dusk in summer, thousands of swallows gather and fly around the tower. The "barren tower swallow" has become one of the top ten landscapes in ancient Yuncheng. The morning light and the setting sun, the shadow of green trees and swallows, and the towering ancient pagoda complement each other in the clear water, just like a simple landscape painting, which is very spectacular.
Ten kilometers to the west of the tower is the former site of gulinqiu city. It is the birthplace of Sun Bin, a famous military strategist in the Warring States period. It is said that Sun Bin, who was sentimentally attached to his hometown, turned into a cloud swallow after his death and flew back to his hometown, lingering around the ancient pagoda. The reason why Sun Bin had been punished before his death is that he did not move to the south in the severe winter and did not travel when he was hungry or fell to the ground. At the turn of spring and summer, countless insects fly to the top of the tower. From a distance, they look like wisps of green smoke, curling up and becoming the prey of cloud swallows. It is said that if you look to the west of the pagoda at this time, you can see the illusion of the battle between the ancient city of linqiu and Sun Bin. This is another landscape of the ancient city -- Wushi city of linqiu. Chen liangmo, the magistrate of Yuncheng in the Qing Dynasty, once left the impression that "without mirage, how can there be a sea market? In the long run, it is doubted that the shadow and cloud are steaming".
In July 1983, a huge fireball circled around the tower and then fell into the water rapidly along the tower. With a loud noise, a steam column nearly 30 meters high was formed. The traces of fireballs on the tower are clearly visible. However, the smoke like insects have disappeared since then. Only the swallows of the barren tower still fly around the tower year after year. Climbing the tower to search, there is no sign of the nest. These phenomena and legends give the tower of Guanyin temple a thick layer of mystery.
In the long history, through the baptism of war, the erosion of years and the attack of flood, the barren tower has been standing on this ancient land, becoming the symbol of ancient civilization of Yuncheng.
