Main attractions

A turtle pilgrimage

It is located on the third-class marine erosion terrace of Meizhou Island. The turtle is 2.5 meters long, 1.7 meters wide and 1.5 meters high. The image stone formed by spherical weathering of granite was formed about 23900 years ago. Because of the seasonal and diurnal temperature difference, the surface of the turtle's back causes inconsistent expansion and contraction in the rock surface and forms cracks, which looks like the turtle's back.

It is said that a thousand years ago, this turtle had been practicing in the sea for many years. She often saw Lin Mo Niang, a fisherman, going to help her in the wind and rain. She felt her compassion and bravery and decided to worship her as a teacher. The turtle chose to land on the Double Ninth Festival. When it climbed to the middle of Mount ewei, it looked at the five colors of auspicious clouds on the main peak of Meiyu Island, and Murong slowly ascended to the sky in the sound of fairy music. There was no hope of learning from the master. The turtle broke his liver and intestines in pain, turned into red stone in tears and solidified on the pilgrimage road. As the bitter tears of sea turtles stay on the hillside, they are still wet in front of the stone of "sea turtles pilgrimage". Chopping the cliff with an axe

The 18th festival of carp

The fish body was formed by the erosion of 3100 and 2900 NW joints and released weight joints along the middle strike of granite, and the fish section was formed along 2100 joints, which was like a giant cutted stone fish, formed about 23900 years ago.

It is said that in the early years, there was a carp in Meizhou Bay, which had been refined for many years and often haunted fishermen. Mazu sent Prince long to subdue him. Prince long was defeated in a few rounds against carp essence. Mazu saw Qianli eye and Shunfeng ear in her eyes and was anxious in her heart. Qianliyan wields his axe and cuts it down from the clouds. The carp spirit does not hurt it, but cuts the sea rock to "chop the cliff with an axe"; shunfenger picks up the square halberd and plunges it down to make a hole, which is called "flying halberd hole". Prince long, Qianliyan and shunfenger are still hard to win with three battles and one. Mazu had to call Lei Gong to help. Lei Gong saw that the "three battles and one" were in full swing, so he aimed at the key of carp essence, hit it with a hammer, and put carp essence on the ground, becoming a "carp Festival 18" scenic spot.

Mazu Library

It is formed on the sea erosion cliff of eweishan, and formed by the differential erosion of waves along a group of densely developed and evenly distributed sw-2250 joints and se-1150 joints and gravity released joints. Because of the weak anti erosion ability of the fracture surface of the joint, the grooves are formed, which are like great works, and formed about 4100 years ago.

Black Dragon into the sea

The trench is about 70 meters long and 1.5 meters wide. It is composed of diabase dykes and granite surrounding rocks intruded along the SW 2150 fracture zone. Because the diabase is less resistant to seawater chemical weathering than granite, the channel is formed by differential erosion along the diabase dikes under a series of weathering effects such as chemical weathering and sea erosion. There are a series of primary joints parallel to the contact surface of surrounding rock and formed by condensation shrinkage in the dyke, which further weakens the anti weathering ability of diabase. It was formed about 4100 years ago, like a Canglong trying to jump into the sea.

Haimen

The sea erosion trough formed on the cliff of eweishan is about 60 meters long, 4 meters wide and 19 meters deep. It was formed about 4000 years ago by wave differential erosion along diabase dikes intruded into granite and collapse along joint fracture surface.

It is said that when the Thunder God was fighting the carp, the sky broke and the earth cracked. The prince of dragon was frightened and appeared in the shape of a dragon. He jumped to the sea and split a crack in the rock with his tail. The shape was like a door. This is where Mazu set out to go to sea.

Sea search lamp in fog

It is a quadrangle Pavilion. In foggy days, overlooking the sea, I vaguely see the Mazu lamp appearing, piloting thousands of sails. The Qing Dynasty white crown jade once wrote the hymn: the smoke disappears, the island thousand sails gather, the sunlight cangming one mirror opens.

Camel peak
