At that time, Ouyang Xiu, who was the governor of Yangzhou, highly appreciated the secluded and ancient simplicity here and built a hall here. Sitting on this hall, you can see the mountains in the south of the Yangtze River. It seems to be the same as the hall. Hence the name of Pingshan hall. Pingshan hall is a special place for literati to recite poems and write Fu. Ye Meng of Song Dynasty praised this hall as "the most magnificent in the South". Shantang was once abandoned in Yuan Dynasty, and was rebuilt in Wanli of Ming Dynasty. During the Xianfeng Period of the Qing Dynasty, Shantang was destroyed and rebuilt in the ninth year of Tongzhi.
Pingshan Hall
Pingshan Hall
It is located in Daming Temple of Shugang Zhongfeng in the northwest suburb of Yangzhou city. Ouyang Xiu, who was the magistrate of Yangzhou at that time, was built in the eighth year of Qingli reign of emperor Renzong of Song Dynasty (1048). He admired the secluded and simple place and built the hall here. Sitting on this hall, you can see the mountains in the south of the Yangtze River. It seems to be the same as the hall. Hence the name of Pingshan hall. Pingshan hall is a special place for literati to recite poems and write Fu. Ye Meng of Song Dynasty praised this hall as the most magnificent one in Huainan. Shantang was once abandoned in Yuan Dynasty and was rebuilt in Wanli period of Ming Dynasty (1573-1619). During the Xianfeng Period of the Qing Dynasty (1851-1861), Shantang was destroyed and rebuilt in 1870.
In March 2017, Yangzhou municipal Party committee, municipal government, Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Party Working Committee of Shugang Slender West Lake scenic spot decided to build "pingshantang anti-corruption education base" here. In November 2017, it was awarded "Jiangsu anti corruption education base" by Jiangsu Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection.
It was completed and opened to the outside world on December 9, 2017.
Pingshan hall is located in the "old hall of immortals" on the west side of the main hall of Daming Temple. It was built in 1048, the eighth year of Qingli reign of emperor Renzong of Song Dynasty. It was once abandoned in the Yuan Dynasty and rebuilt in the Wanli reign of Ming Dynasty. During the Xianfeng Period of the Qing Dynasty, Shantang was destroyed by war and rebuilt in 1870. Because Pingshan hall is famous in Hainei, people used to call its historical sites, including Xiyuan, the fifth spring in the world, Gulin hall, Qianlong stele and so on.
Pingshan hall is really a quiet place, and also a good place for the eyes. A wooden shed was built outside the door. The shed was covered with vines. It was cool when you walked in. In front of the hall, the ancient vines are staggered and the plantains are plump. On the open hall of Tongtang style, the plaque with three big characters of "Pingshan hall" is hanging high. The hall is an open hall with five rooms. There is a stone platform in front of the hall, which is called xingchuntai. The front of the platform is surrounded by railings, and under the railings is a deep pool. There are thousands of bamboo poles in the pool, and the green shade is flying and swaying because of the wind. Overlooking from the hurdle, "the mountains in the south of the Yangtze River, bow to the sill, if you can climb among them", which is green and green, fluttering at the eyebrows, seems to be level with the hall. "Pingshan hall" is the name of this, which seems to turn the famous sentence of Wang Wei's "river flows outside the world, and mountains are in the middle" into a picture, and show it in front of people's eyes. On the hall, there is a picture of Xu Renshan's couplet on the topic of Pingshan hall, which vividly depicts: "holding the distant mountain and swallowing the Yangtze River, the southwest peaks and valleys are beautiful; sending the setting sun and welcoming the moon, when the spring and summer meet, the grass and trees are in the sky". The scenery here is unique. Qin Guanyou, one of the Six Gentlemen of Sumen in the Song Dynasty, wrote a poem praising: "the pillars open high in the ancient temples, and all the best places are put into the carved columns. The mountain floats on the sea, the green snail is far away, the sky turns south, and the Jasper is wide. The rain sill is secluded, the flowers are shallow, the wind is blowing, and the sake is rising. If visitors talk about the beauty of climbing, they must take the first view of huaidong. " At the same time, ye mengde called it "the most magnificent in Huainan".
There are quite a number of tablets and couplets in Pingshan hall. Liu Kunyi, governor of the two rivers in the reign of Emperor Guangxu, wrote a plaque called "romantic Wanzai". The calligraphy is fluent. The word "Liu" is a little less, but the word "Zai" is a little more. Although they are variant characters, they are used here as if they were caused by the wind, which is not interesting.
On the North eaves of the hall, there is a plaque inscribed by Lin Zhaoyuan, which says "the distant mountain is equal to this hall". When visitors come here, they feel nostalgic. In front of the hall, there is a couplet written by Yi bingshou, the governor of the Qing Dynasty, on the red column: "when you cross the rivers and mountains, you will come to the hall. The first couplet uses the mountain as a metaphor for people, and reproduces the grand scene of the time when you were full of friends and talked about the past and the present. The second couplet uses the famous sentence in the story of the drunken man pavilion to express the depression and optimistic and self-adaptive feelings of Ou Gong. With good sentence making and simple calligraphy, it is known as the crown of couplets in Pingshan hall. In addition, for example, Zhu Gongchun wrote in Pingshan hall that "when the sun rises, the mountains of the six generations are all in sight; when he comes to drink in the evening, the moon is at the head." this is exactly what he saw and heard when the moon melted into the moon, the candle light reflected in the window, the warm wind spread the sound of books, and the distant mountains and rivers merged into laughter.
Gulin Hall
Gulin hall in the north of Pingshan hall was built during the reign of Yuanyou in the Northern Song Dynasty (1086-1094). It was built in memory of Ouyang Xiu, Su Dongpo's teacher, when he learned Yangzhou from Yingzhou. The name of Gulin hall is "Gulin" in Dongpo's poem "deep valley steals Wan, high forest gathers Fushu". There are some paintings and calligraphy hanging in the hall. The environment is very quiet.
Pingshan hall is a good place to visit. In front of the hall, the ancient vines are staggered, the plantains are plump, and the plaques with three big characters of "Pingshan hall" hang high above the open hall. This was built when Ouyang Xiu, a famous politician and writer of Song Dynasty, was demoted to Yangzhou magistrate. The most respectable thing is that Ou Gong was not controlled by the common customs. As soon as he arrived in Yangzhou, he fell in love with Shugang, so he built a church here. According to historical records, every summer day, in his spare time, he often brought his friends here to drink and write poems. They often asked people to take more than 1000 lotus flowers from Shaobo lake not far away, and put them in hundreds of pots among the guests. Then he asked geisha to take one flower to pass on to the guests and pick its petals one by one. Who was the last one in turn would drink a cup and write a poem. They often went to the night to carry the moon home At that time, drumming spread flowers. Now it's hanging in the hall
