Zhonghe ancient town is located in Zhonghe Town, Danzhou City, Hainan Province. It is a relatively old town in Hainan Province. Su Dongpo, a great writer of Song Dynasty, lived here for three years. Development History

Zhonghe ancient town has a long history. In about 100 BC, general lubord crossed the sea to the South and set up daner County, which is located in nantanpu (now Danzhou jiuzhoupo). During the reign of Liang Datong (546 AD), Mrs. Xian Tai, the heroine of Lingnan, crossed the sea to recover Hainan and stationed her troops in nantanpu. This year, famine plagued nantanpu. Mrs. Xian decided to move the county government from nantanpu to the beautiful and rich Bank of Yilun River, which opened the history of Zhonghe ancient town as a "state city" for more than 1300 years.

There are many cultural relics in Zhonghe ancient town. When Mr. Guo Moruo visited Zhonghe ancient town in the 1960s, he wrote a poem "there are many cultural relics in daner ancient town". At present, there are 13 historic sites preserved, including city walls, prefectures, academies, temples, nunneries, springs, streets, and stone pagodas, including one national key cultural relics protection unit, two provincial key cultural relics protection units, and ten municipal key cultural relics protection units.

The most unforgettable historic site is the towering ancient city wall. It is said that the gate pavilion was built to resist the invasion of pirates and prevent the disaster of war. In the sixth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty, Zhizhou tianzhang built the city. The city wall is 1573 meters long, 6 meters wide and 8.3 meters high. There are four gates in the southeast and northwest, Dehua gate in the East, Rouyuan gate in the south, zhenhaikou gate in the West and Wuding gate in the north. Outside the gate of the city, there is a moon city. Along the city wall, there is a moat, 1590 meters long, 16.7 meters wide and 2.7 meters deep. Later, due to years of disrepair, part of the city walls collapsed. In the 1950s, some city buildings were demolished to expand the streets, leaving only two ancient city gates, Zhenhai and Wuding.

Sipailou is an old Qingshiban street in Zhonghe of Guzhou city. It is about 100 meters long and houses 50 or 60 families. It is divided into Shangtou street and dixia street. From the upper street to the lower street, you can yawn. The whole street is paved with bluestone slabs. On both sides of the street are dark and simple archways. Under the mottled black moss on the archways, the names of "Chengji yitianbao hall" and other shops can be discerned.

The ancient town of Zhonghe, Wuhai, Yuntian mountain, is full of wind and clear water. Jinghu Lake is full of green water. It is hundreds of miles around, surrounded by green mountains, green trees, meandering mountains and rivers. The foot of the mountain is steep and concave into a low-lying valley basin. The basin is rippling with water. The water waves are not startled. The green mountains float on the surface of the lake, and there are large rubber forests and Casuarina equisetifolia beside the lake Forest, green mountains and green water constitute a watercolor painting with green tone.
