On the way from Urumqi to Turpan, along the road southward, on both sides of the road leading to Dabancheng, an important town of the Silk Road, hundreds of wind turbines stand up in the sky and fly in the wind, contrasting with the blue sky and white clouds. Under the background of the magnificent Bogda peak and the vast wilderness, a magnificent windmill world is formed. This is the largest wind energy base in China - Dabancheng wind power plant in Xinjiang.
Dabancheng wind power station
Dabancheng wind power station is on the way from Urumqi to Turpan. On both sides of the road leading to Dabancheng, an important Silk Road Town, hundreds of wind turbines stand up in the sky and fly in the wind, setting off the blue sky and white clouds. Under the background of the magnificent Bogda peak and the vast wilderness, it forms a magnificent windmill world. This is China's largest wind energy base - Dabancheng wind power plant in Xinjiang.
background
Wind energy is a kind of clean energy in development, which is widely distributed, available on the spot, inexhaustible and renewable. Xinjiang is rich in wind energy resources, and Dabancheng area, which used to be an important town on the Silk Road and was famous at home and abroad with a song "girl of Dabancheng", is the area with the best development and construction conditions among the nine major wind areas in Xinjiang. Located between the Middle Tianshan Mountains and the East Tianshan Mountains, this valley starts from the southern suburb of Urumqi in the northwest and ends at Dabancheng pass in the southeast. It is an air passage between the north and the south of Xinjiang. The area where wind turbines can be installed is more than 1000 square kilometers. At the same time, the wind speed distribution is relatively average, and destructive wind speed and unusable wind speed rarely occur. Within one year, 12 months can start power generation. Dabancheng wind power plant has an annual wind energy reserve of 25 billion kilowatts per hour, the total available electric energy is 7.5 billion kilowatts per hour, the installed capacity is 2500 MW, and the total installed capacity here is 125000 kW. 1200 kW per unit.
build
In 1985, Xinjiang started the research, test and promotion of wind power. In 1986, the first wind turbine was introduced from Denmark, which was set up at the edge of Chaiwopu lake. The successful trial operation laid a foundation for the development and utilization of wind energy resources in Xinjiang. In 1988, with a grant from the Danish government, Xinjiang completed the first phase of Dabancheng wind power plant project. This is the earliest wind power plant in the autonomous region, and also the earliest experimental site for developing wind energy on a national scale. In October 1989, the power plant was incorporated into Urumqi power grid for power generation. At that time, both the single unit capacity and the total installed capacity ranked first in China. Since then, the power plant has continued to expand, ranking first in the country. It is winter and the peak of wind power generation in Dabancheng. It is located between Tianshan Mountain and Kunlun Mountain, and forms a huge wind outlet every winter. It brings good economic benefits for power generation. The 30 kW large units have been imported from abroad to further improve the operation efficiency. As wind energy is renewable, pollution-free energy, the state strongly supports. In addition, the Northwest Power Grid and the mainland power grid are merged and interconnected. It provides a good opportunity for wind power generation.
