Development and evolution
The Arshan station, built in 1937, is a product of the Japanese Kwantung Army. It is made of brick wood, granite and reinforced concrete. The outer wall of the first floor is a randomly inserted stone wall made of coarse granite, and the top of the building is covered with ochre cement. It is a Japanese style building with low eaves and sharp top. On one side of it is a semi-circular bunker with a sharp top. From a distance, it looks like a "grain hoard" in the countryside. The gun hole at that time has been blocked with cement, which is estimated to be a warehouse.
There are two rows of orange plastic chairs in the waiting room. Eight seats in each row are respectively installed on the walls on both sides. There is a station stove in the center. Next to the waiting room is the "VIP room", which is as small as the "VIP room". Inside, there are several sofas in the shape of u, clean and simple. The small exaggerated luggage room seems to be proud to argue that although the sparrow is small, its five internal organs are complete. There is no overpass on the stage. There are only two buses every day, one from Baicheng and one to Baicheng. There is a temporary market on the square in front of the station to sell some local products. Because the train arrived at the station at 4:59 in the morning and left at 5:14, it was scattered before 5:30.
Today, the whole railway station is well preserved and still in use. It is a key cultural relic in Inner Mongolia. It's the terminal of Baicheng A'ershan line. This is probably the most beautiful one of the small railway stations in China. It's a bit like the small station in Switzerland. It's a great feeling to watch the sunset on the station at dusk.
