He family compound

The most famous "he's courtyard" in the post station was the place where Empress Dowager Cixi and Emperor Guangxu fled to stay when the Eight Power Allied forces entered Beijing. Up to now, there are four regular script characters "Hongxi Jiefu" carved on the gable of erjinyuan as a memorial of Empress Dowager Cixi's residence here. The original five into the courtyard, has become an independent courtyard. Five or six hundred years has left a strong mark on this ancient city.
