It was consecrated and opened on October 6 of that year.
St Andrew's Church
St Andre's hall is located at 138 Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong. It belongs to a church under the West Kowloon Diocese of the Hong Kong Episcopal Church, the oldest Christian English Church in Kowloon. In 1897, the Anglican Church proposed to set up a church in the Kowloon Peninsula to serve the community at that time. In 1899, Bishop Joseph of Victoria visited the area in person and foresaw the growing needs of the Kowloon area in the future. It was not until 1904 that Sir Paul Chater donated HK $35000 to build churches near Robinson Road (now Nathan Road) and Austin Road.
In 1997, St. Andre's hall was repaired in stages, mainly for the external walls and painted glass windows, at a cost of HK $2.5 million. In the same year, St. Andrea's hall was listed as a class II historical building, and now it is proposed to be a class I historical building. In 2006, St. Andrea hall was awarded the UNESCO Asia Pacific Heritage Conservation Award.

Today, St. Andrea's church has been built in wood for a long time. In December 1904, the stone St. Andrea's church was built, and Sir Paul Chater donated 35000 Hong Kong dollars to build it. An additional auditorium was built in 1913, but it was rebuilt into a 7-storey building in 1977.
Adjacent to the Former Kowloon English school, St Andre's hall was once a meeting place for the British living in Kowloon. During the Japanese occupation, the chief priest was imprisoned, the Church of St. Andrea was converted to a Shinto shrine in Japan, and the parsonage house became the residence of the shrine leader and Japanese intelligence officers. After the war, the Anglican Church was restored to St. Andrea's church. In 1979, the Christ center beside the church was completed. At the same time, the parsonage was converted to official use. At present, St Andre's hall is a secondary historical building in Hong Kong.
Apart from English worship, St Andrea's hall also offers Mandarin worship. Filipino worship has been offered in the past, but it has been cancelled.
