Namo Grand Canyon

Namo Grand Canyon

Namo Grand Canyon is located in the northern part of Zoige County, where the namogerdi temple is located, 90 kilometers away from the county seat. Fairy Cave

After enjoying the mysterious religious culture in gukou, you can go into the ditch to enjoy the unique natural scenery. There is a cave under the cliff on the right side of the entrance. The cave is flat and low. In front of the cave, believers often burn cypress incense. The bluish white smoke rises up close to the cliff and fills the cave. This is the fairy cave in legend. Walking ten steps into the cave, you will be cheerful. The highest part of the cave is five or six meters, covering an area of more than 400 square meters. This is a karst cave. A stalactite on the southwest corner of the cave looks like a beautiful young girl. She is a fairy in legend. Looking at the fairy carefully, I can see that her head has been integrated into the cave top, leaving her chest, shoulders and navel clear and vivid. Her old navel like eyes were dripping with dew. The local people gave her a beautiful name: "waldan namo", which translated into fairy. Not far from the fairy, the cliff sank one meter from the ground, forming an "L" shaped passage, about two meters long, called "Zhongyin cave". A stone at the entrance of the cave is like a piece of Ruyi, and a handle of Ganoderma lucidum supports the top of the rock. It is said that people can complete the transformation from the previous life to the present life by drilling in from one end of the passage and then drilling out from the other end. They can eliminate diseases and prolong life, eliminate disasters and increase happiness. But a man of great sin will never pass. Between the fairy stone and the "Zhongyin cave", a knee shaped stone protrudes from the cliff, smooth and moist. It is said that it can eliminate patients with stomach diseases. Looking around the cave wall, the grotesque rocks are like eagles, elephants, trees, monkeys and rabbits.

Panlong cave

From the fairy cave, on the cliff of the cave entrance, there are stone holes where immortals tie deer, three claw tracks left by tigers jumping over the cave, footprints of lotus Buddha, disaster elimination triangle box, stone holes for praying for sons and daughters, and so on. The whole cliff is full of magical stories. On the opposite side of fairy cave is Panlong cave. The cave is not big. There is a white dragon clearly floating on the stone slab in the cave. The dragon is gentle and peaceful. The soil in the cave can cure diseases. Do you want to try?

From Panlong cave down and forward, a dam will block the stream into a small lake, the lake is as blue as blue water, light wind slowly, the breeze does not rise. There are many small fish living in the lake, swimming freely in the lake, and the cliffs on both sides are reflected in the lake. On the surface of the lake, where the warm sunshine twinkles, the lake is like a mirror inlaid in the valley.

Naixi

Walking along the Bank of the lake, it becomes narrower and narrower. When you turn around the canyon, you can see the source of the stream. The source comes from several springs on both sides of the cliff and flows clear and shallow under the gravel beach. You may as well have a drink. It's pure water in nature. Drinking the water from the source will make you feel refreshing. Local people call this spring "Naixi" (holy water), which is the source of Bailong River. The spring is warm in winter and cool in summer. It is not dry in the dry weather, not waterlogged in the rainstorm, and clear in the four seasons. Standing on the stone beach and looking up to the left, there is a cave on the steep hillside overlooking the spring. It is the tiger cave. It is said that there lived a kind white dragon in this valley to practice Taoism. One year, a big fire broke out in the valley. The fire spread and destroyed the trees and crops. The people were homeless. Seeing this, the white dragon, who is practicing, wants to save the people. However, the spirit trapped him under the rock, which made him tremble and burst into tears. Tears burst through the rock and burst into fire. Since then, the spring water of these two eyes has not been interrupted. The rescued people, in order to thank the 4 virtues of Bailong, named the river flowing out of the spring named "Bailong River". Since then, the forests on both sides of the Bailong River have flourished, and people and livestock have flourished. However, good times do not last long. A white tiger often comes out of the forest to harm the living creatures. People die and flee. It's very sad. One day, when the evil tiger was chasing people who had no time to escape, a kind "fairy waldanamo" came into the air. She subdued the evil tiger with her wisdom and locked the tiger in the cave to guard the source of the Bailong River day and night. People live and work in peace and contentment, but the fairy "waldan namo" can't go back to heaven because she came down to earth without permission, so she lives in the fairy cave. From then on, this place has the beautiful name of "dacannamo". (in Tibetan, tiger cave is called "Dacang" and fairy is called "namo"). Even the later geldi temple was also known as "Dachang namo Temple".

Cross the source and then go in, cliff hanging rock, dangerous peak stand, straight into the sky. There are thousands of stone peaks, such as flying eagle cliff and dove hole. It's a marvelous work. In the blue sky, long white clouds roam between the peaks. There are many naked stones in the middle of the ditch. The flowers and plants on both sides are luxuriant. The fragrance of the flowers is intoxicating. The running water is intermittent. Occasionally, small animals escape from the front. The deeper into the valley, the quieter and more profound.
