Luobidong scenic spot

Natural limestone cave is one of the eight scenic spots in Sanya City.

There are many cliff carvings in luobidong. The inscriptions of "luobidong Biluo" and "Jianfengling jianfengjian" are the same as those of "shunnian" and "daonian", and they have endless aftertaste. There are also many stone scenes of horse, dog, monkey and tortoise in Luobi cave. There are many lava caves around the cave. The famous "xianlang cave" (also known as Xiangu cave house) and "Xiannv cave" have their own characteristics.

In March 1992, archaeologists discovered Sanya site 10000 years ago in luobidong, which is the southernmost site of Paleolithic culture in China so far.

Yinling, a peculiar small mountain peak about 7km northeast of lizhigou, Jiyang District, Sanya City, is adjacent to Sanya University, which is one of the eight scenic spots in Sanya City.

It's about 15 kilometers away from Sanya City, next to Sanya college. The cave is located on a small mountain with peculiar shape, which is a natural limestone cave. In the middle of the hole, there are two stalagmites hanging like giant pens. In March 1992, archaeologists discovered Sanya site 10000 years ago in luobidong, which is the southernmost site of Paleolithic culture in China so far. The color of luobidong scenic spot is magical. Sanya Tourism Department has accelerated the repair and construction of a number of tourism service facilities, making it another tourist attraction in Sanya

. The steep vertical mountain is a good place for exploration.

Luobidong

Luobi cave is located under the cliff in the east of Yinling mountain. Outside the cave, there are towering ancient trees, shade blocking the sun, cicadas flying in the autumn, birds singing in the mountains, and there seems to be an immortal atmosphere. It is said that in ancient times, some eminent monks took a fancy to this quiet place and became Zen here after their merits were fulfilled. They also said that there was a sutra entering the temple, sealed in the depths of the rock, and later opened by the Lord. They also said that there were giant footprints going in and out of the cave without seeing its shape. It was really a supernatural work and the creation of heaven and earth.

The cave is about 12 meters high, 9 meters wide and 18 meters deep. The top of the cave is 20 meters high. At the top of the cave, there are two stalactites hanging down like two pens. This is the name of luobidong. It is recorded in the annals of Zhengde Qiongtai in Ming Dynasty: "among them, the shape of stone is like a hanging pen, and the tip of the pen drips continuously." It is known that this cave was well-known in ancient times. There is a story about the good and evil retribution in luobidong: in ancient times, Wenqu Xingjun held the magic pen in his hands and hidden the scriptures on the colorful clouds. After years, because of God's fatigue, the magic pen fell on Yinling and became two huge stone pens on the top of the cave. The immortal made a taboo: Fairy water is only given to honest and hardworking people, so as to make a fortune and prolong their life; but for those who are powerful and hardworking, dripping water is not given. There was a greedy rich man nearby who went into the cave with a gold basin in his hand. When he saw the pearls of fairy water under the tip of his pen, he thought that he was blessed in this life. But when he picked up the water with his hands, the water stopped dripping from the tip of his pen. He stood for several hours in a row, but there was no immortal water dripping. But when he turned around, the tip of his pen was dripping. The rich man was so angry that he took his servant to break the pen with a sledgehammer. From then on, the stone pen has no edge, and the fairy water disappears. After the rich man came home, his family declined year by year, and he died in poverty. I don't know how many years later, in order to assist the honest and hardworking people, the immortal made two hanging pens drip water for many years

Xianlang cave

"Xianlang cave" is located at the bottom of the cliff more than 20 steps to the east of Luobi cave. The width of the cave is 3 meters and the height is nearly 2 meters. The width of the cave is 16 meters and the depth is 11 meters. The bottom of the cave is flat and the top is even. "Yazhou Zhi" called it "Fairy Cave". There is a hanging stone in the cave, which looks like the head of a fairy from a distance, hence the name of "Fairy Cave". There is a happy love story in this cave: in ancient times, a fairy who was unwilling to be lonely, envied the colorful life in the world, so she landed here from the heavenly palace and married a young man of Li nationality. This magical story makes the Li people nearby regard it as a blessed place. I don't know from which year, from the first day to the third day of the lunar new year, men and women, young and old, dressed in costumes, gathered here for singing, dancing and wrestling. Girls and young men also take this as a good place to choose a mate, to form a good relationship, and to become the "cave Festival" handed down from generation to generation, which has been followed up to now.

Fairy Cave

"Fairy Cave" is located on the hillside of yinlingtou. From "xianlang cave" to the East, you can climb up the winding path. There are various kinds of strange stones in the cave. There is a stone bed at the bottom of the cave, which looks like a banana tree and is called "banana bed". There are many stalactite stripes on the top of the cave, which are like mosquito nets. Legend has it that this is a fairy's bed and curtain. Deep in the cave, there are many caves. It is said that there are underground wells and currents at the bottom of the cave, which can catch big fish; at the top of the cave, there is a secluded cave which can see the sun directly, and the sea and the sky are connected, which is wonderful. According to the records of Zhengde Qiongtai in the Ming Dynasty, "there is a deep well at the extreme. The coconut engraved with a mark in the past was put into the well and obtained in the sea." After liberation, someone once listened to the sound of running water in the cave and put the coconut engraved on it into the well. As expected, it was caught in the sea.

Traffic tips

Take a bus from Haikou to Sanya, get off at Jiyang district and transfer to local bus No.7 to luobidong scenic spot. Traffic is not convenient, it is recommended to charter a car or drive to.
