Located in the back lane of Lugang street, Lugang folk cultural relics museum was formerly the former residence of the Ku family in Lugang, one of the five major families in Taiwan. It was built in 1912 and completed in 919.
In 1973, the Ku family donated this foreign building to set up the folk cultural relics museum, which collected a lot of local cultural relics in Lugang, including more than 6000 articles for people's livelihood from the Qing Dynasty to the early Republic of China. On the first floor, there are documents and pictures, clothing accessories, traditional opera musical instruments, religious etiquette supplies; on the second floor, there are Ku's bedroom, conference hall, VIP reception hall, daughter's bedroom, dining utensils, calligraphy and painting literature. Basic introduction
The exhibition area of Lugang folk cultural relics museum is mainly divided into western style buildings, old style houses and garden area. It used to be the residence of Gu Xianrong, a famous tycoon in Lukang during the Japanese rule period. At that time, the Ku family in Lukang, the Lin family in Banqiao, the Lin family in Wufeng, the Yan Family in Keelung and the Chen family in Kaohsiung were listed as five major families in Taiwan.
The western style western style building is a baroque building in the Renaissance. It fully shows the industrious and simple style of China's agricultural society, which is quite different from the luxurious style of western style buildings.
