Zijiang River, formerly known as Fuyi water, originated from Maoer Mountain, the highest peak in South China. It flows into Dongting Lake from south to north. It is one of the four tributaries of Dongting Lake and belongs to the Yangtze River system. The scenic spot is a north-south mountain range formed by the strong orogeny in Proterozoic 30 million years ago. The soft and hard rock layers are composed of Cretaceous red conglomerate, sandstone and mudstone. It has been subjected to the comprehensive effects of weathering, denudation, erosion and dissolution in a long geological period, and gradually developed into Danxia landform. The wind sail stone is a thin piece, more than ten feet high. The steep wall is as smooth as a knife. The Dan light is faint. It looks like a sail hanging on the river. The mountain on the bank is like its boat edge. The whole mountain is like a big ship blowing through the wind and waves.

It is said that in ancient times, shipcapsized accidents often occurred in Zijiang waterway, which often caused the tragedy of cargo damage and death, and made people fear the sailing boat. Later, when shoufoye came here, he found out this problem. Seeing that the boatman was tired and hard, he wanted to help them out. Shoufoye found that there were River demons and water monsters in the water, so the boat often capsized there. He threw the iron file of the money paper to the riverside, and the river demons and water monsters stopped it. After the completion of the town, the ship did not turn over since then, and the boatman went up to pull the fiber smoothly.

The general rode through the gate of heaven

At the end of Zijiang River rafting, there are two huge stone walls across the river, just like two huge doors. Years of wind and rain, on the left side of the stone wall, there is a picture of a riding general, with his head held high, and the general wearing helmets and armours, who is awe inspiring, just like the legendary Erlang God Yang Jian. It is said that in those days, the monkey king caused havoc in the heavenly palace, was chased and killed by heaven's soldiers and generals, and fled to heaven. The Jade Emperor, Long Yan, was furious and ordered Yang Jian, the Erlang God, to continue his pursuit. Yang Jian chased the monkey king all the way to the edge of the Zijiang River. They fought fiercely for three days and three nights. The sun and the moon were out of light, the sky was dark, and the capital and water were disgraced. They did not win or lose. One day, they hit a backwater pond by the Zijiang River. They saw three stone walls against the sky. Erlang God blocked the exit, and the monkey king was already facing a turtle in the urn. Seeing that the exit was blocked, the monkey king suddenly gave a loud drink. He held the golden cudgel and smashed it down toward the north stone wall. He only heard a loud bang. When the cudgel reached the stone wall, there was a gap more than ten meters wide. The monkey king flew away from the gap. The water in the pond burst out because of the sudden crack and surged to the gap. Erlang God was caught off guard. He was rushed to the stone wall on the left side of the north by the flood, and his horse and man were permanently printed on the stone wall.
