Qixinggang
Qixinggang is a small hill outside the Tongyuan gate in the main urban area of Chongqing. However, on the map of Chongqing City in the late Qing Dynasty, Qixinggang was also marked as "Qixinggang". In the old days, what Chongqing was most afraid of was fire. Therefore, facilities like pools and tanks were used everywhere to store water in case of fire.
geographical position
According to legend, there are seven large stone tanks on Qixinggang, which are filled with water for fire fighting. Therefore, the post is also known as the Seven Star jar. During the Anti Japanese War, it was renamed "Gang". Similar changes include Jiulongpo ("Pu" changed to "Po") and Shima River ("Huo" changed to "he").
Development history
At the end of the Ming Dynasty, after Zhang Xianzhong invaded Chongqing, he killed a lot of people. In the daytime, there were tigers dragging people on the street outside Tongyuan. It's not too much to call it "the singing of thousands of bleak ghosts". It is said that it was because Zhang Xianzhong killed too many people and was afraid of throwing them in the river to pollute the water, he dragged them out of the city and buried them. Qixinggang area thus became a "mass grave".
In 1922, Yang Sen carried out the municipal reform in Chongqing. The mass grave outside the Tongyuan gate was gradually turned into a big road, and the house was built, which was regarded as a living popularity. In the early 1930s, Chengdu Chongqing highway was built from Qixinggang. At that time, the ruins of the long-distance bus station are still there, that is, at the Qixinggang bus station. Such a small parking port can make people imagine how backward the traffic situation was.
Because Qixinggang is outside the old city, it is quite desolate. With the expansion of the urban area of Chongqing, Qixinggang has gradually become prosperous, and the houses around it are particularly dense. In recent years, the surrounding area of Qixinggang is the focus of real estate development. In the past, the dilapidated shed houses have been basically demolished. The high-rise buildings are like forests, which are airtight, making the back streets and alleys more and more narrow. If we want to talk about the density of commercial housing and population density, Qixinggang may be one of the highest in Yuzhong District.
Qixinggang is located in the main road. In the 1930s, Zhonggan road was named Zhongshan Road, and Qixinggang was located along Zhongshan Road, becoming an important business district. However, because it is located on the ridge of a mountain and there is no room for development around it, we can only stand on the Tongyuan gate and look at the rolling traffic.
Qixinggang Park
Qixinggang is an eye-catching "Emerald" in Nancun Town. There used to be a five storey pagoda on the original peak. There were many ancient tombs on the northeast side. Many mountain springs flowed out at the foot of the mountain. The trench used by "Guangyou No.2 detachment" during the Anti Japanese War stood here, guarding the only important road leading to the county. According to the "angry tide of the Pearl River", the famous battle of Qixinggang took place here. It is a famous patriotic education base in Guangzhou. Qixinggang Park, named after Qixinggang, is located in Nancun Town, Panyu District, at the intersection of Shiqiao Xinzao highway and Jinshan Avenue. It is about 7km away from Shiqiao in Panyu city and 2km away from the center of Nancun Town. The mountain is 170 meters above sea level, with an area of 53 hectares of hillside land. It is an artificially planted forest belt with dense forest belt, which forms forest according to the situation. The park is full of beautiful scenery and flowers. The pavilions, platforms, bridges and pavilions with rich Lingnan culture are exquisitely arranged, harmonious and natural.
