For a stadium with more than 50000 spectators, its grandstand scale is relatively large. In particular, this design adopts the plane form of external circle and internal ellipse, so that the East and West grandstands are higher and the South and North grandstands are lower, and the available space is concentrated on the East and west sides. In this design, there are three floors under the audience rest platform in the eastern area, one of which is the basement, including a 200 bed athlete Hotel and its supporting catering, entertainment and other facilities; there are also three floors under the rest platform in the western area, in which the basement is used as a mass sports fitness and entertainment center, the ground floor as a sports competition supporting room, and the second floor as an office room. With the East-West area and the North-South suspension tower, the construction area of the stadium for normal use is more than 60000 m2, which provides better conditions for the future development and operation of the stadium itself.

Sichuan Gymnasium

The gymnasium is the first key project of the second phase of the gymnasium project, with a total construction area of nearly 25000 square meters and a total investment of about 160 million yuan. It was completed and put into use in September 2003. The main hall and the training hall are combined into one to form an oval shape with ingenious design and unique shape. The stadium is located in the northeast of the main stadium, with a 40 meter wide urban trunk road Huanglong road in the East, the main entrance square of the main stadium in the south, and a 30 meter wide ring road and a 30 meter wide North Avenue in the West.
