Asia University is a private university located in Wufeng District, Taichung City, Taiwan Province, China. The existing academic institutions include school of health, School of information, School of creative design, School of management and School of Humanities and society, with a total of 5 colleges and 22 departments. Achievements in running schools in recent years

On April 30, 2005, the University of Asia was approved by the "Ministry of education" reform committee of Taiwan authorities. From August 1 of that year, it was upgraded to a general university. Originally proposed by Professor Yang Zhiliang, then vice president, it intended to change its name to "Taichung University". However, the "Ministry of education" thought that private colleges should not use place names as their names. Therefore, after discussion by the board of directors, it decided to change its name to "Asian University" It was not only the only comprehensive university approved for promotion in that year, but also set a record in the history of higher education in Taiwan. Cai Wenxiang, President of the University of Asia, claimed that the original intention of its name was based on the fact that the University was established as an international university, hoping to highlight the ambition and competitiveness of "based in Asia and looking to the world" with its new name.

In the past two years, Asian universities in Taiwan have made rapid progress. In the three evaluations published by the times higher education special issue, Asian universities, which have been founded for 13 years, have ranked among the "top three hundred" universities, making a great leap forward in the international rankings! It's not easy to be ranked 53rd in the top 100 of the 23 BRICs and emerging economies, 99th in the top 100 emerging potential universities in the world within 50 years of its founding, and 83rd in the top 100 best universities in Asia on June 19!

According to the statistics of Taiwan Dakao news agency, which is responsible for the analysis of research sites, in 103, the academic departments of Asian universities performed by leaps and bounds. Historical evolution

Asia University was founded by Professor Cai Changhai, chairman of China Medical University, and donated by Mr. Lin zenglian, chairman of Jujian and all directors. In 1998, Wufeng District of Taichung city was selected as the construction site, and liushuwei section of Wufeng District released by Taiwan sugar company was used as the construction site. In October 1999, the preparatory office for the establishment of the school was established, and an application was submitted to the Ministry of education. In March 2001, the establishment of Taichung health and management college was successfully approved. In 2005, it was approved by the "Ministry of education" and "University College change committee" of Taiwan authorities and upgraded to an Asian University.

It was upgraded to a university on August 1 of the same year, and its name was officially changed to "Asian University".
