Miyagira ophthalmology

Miyagihara Ophthalmology, originally the eye clinic of Dr. miyagihara Takeo, was later bought by a famous pineapple crisp manufacturer and sold food under the name of miyagihara ophthalmology. The interior decoration is modern and luxurious. It has become one of the scenic spots that Taichung must visit.

Development history

The original miyara ophthalmology clinic was built in 1927 by Takeo miyara, a Japanese ophthalmologist studying in Germany. It is also the largest ophthalmology clinic in Taichung during the Japanese colonial period.

After Japan was defeated in 1945, Takeo miyhara returned to Japan, and the eye hospital was also expropriated and turned into Taichung health center. Later, because of the 1999 Taiwan earthquake and typhoon and other damage, it was dilapidated. Sunrise group will be here after finishing, the appearance retains the structure of miyagira ophthalmology and arched arcade. In 2010, it was purchased by sunrise group, which renovated miyagira ophthalmology into a dessert shop with Baroque style. At the same time, miyagira ophthalmology is also a place for sightseeing and shopping in Taichung.
