The memorial hall for the surrender of the victory of the Chinese people's Anti Japanese war is a national 3A scenic spot. It is located in Qiliqiao village, 3.5km away from Zhijiang County of Huaihua City, 37km away from Huaihua City. It is the site where the Chinese people accepted the surrender of Japanese invaders. It was opened to the outside world in 1985. The memorial hall of the victory and surrender of the Chinese people in the war of resistance against Japanese aggression is a symbol of the first complete victory of the Chinese people in the fight against foreign aggression since the Opium War. It is also a historical monument for the Chinese people to defeat the Japanese aggressors after eight years of bloody struggle. The surrender Memorial Hall includes the surrender Memorial square, the surrender compound (the surrender meeting will be held in the Army General Command and he Yingqin's office), and the exhibition hall commemorating the victory of the Anti Japanese war. The memorial hall is a four column and three arch archway building with Yuanzhou stone plaques and inscriptions by Jiang Zhongzheng, Li Zongren, he Yingqin and Sun Ke. There are three one story wooden fish scale bungalows in the surrender compound. The conference table, wooden armchair, single and double wooden sofa and other cultural relics used in the surrender were displayed in the venue. The surrender hall is located in Qiliqiao village, 3.5km away from Zhijiang County, Huaihua. It used to be the Qunli auditorium of the air force headquarters of the Kuomintang. In August 1945, Japan announced its unconditional surrender, and the Kuomintang government held the surrender ceremony here from August 21 to 23. Built in 1995, the exhibition hall commemorating the victory of the Anti Japanese war has two floors, with three exhibition halls of "eight years of Anti Japanese War", "China's surrender" and "never forget history". 214 World War II cultural relics and 291 photos, charts and telegrams are on display, showing precious cultural relics and unique connotation. The memorial square in Huaihua surrender hall is the only building in China to commemorate the victory of the Anti Japanese war. It was built in February 1946. Memorial square is facing south and North, with three arches on the West column, built with green bricks, painted with cement and inlaid with Yuanzhou stone. On the front of the square are inscribed inscriptions and couplets by Kuomintang military and political figures such as Jiang Zhongzheng, Li Zongren, Yu Youren, Sun Ke, he Yingqin and Bai Chongxi. In the back of the memorial square, there is a 206 character inscription of "Zhijiang surrender Memorial square". There is an exhibition hall to commemorate the victory of the Anti Japanese War near Zhijiang Memorial square. There are three parts in the exhibition: "eight years of Anti Japanese War", "China's surrender" and "history can't be forgotten". A large number of words, photos and objects are used to reflect the Chinese people's struggle against Japanese aggression. Not far from here, Zhijiang airport, covering an area of more than 4800 mu, used to be the second largest military airport in the Far East of the Allied forces during the summer of World War II. Flying Tiger general Chennault's Sino US mixed brigade and the 14th Air Force of the United States used to be based on it. The eastern part of the United States and China Air Force wing near the airport and the airport command tower are still in good condition.
