Hong'an martyrs cemetery

Hong'an, formerly known as Huang'an, is the birthplace of jute uprising and the cradle of Hubei Henan Anhui revolutionary base. It is a famous "general county". Hong'an gave birth to two presidents, Dong Biwu and Li Xiannian; more than 200 senior generals of the people's army, among whom 61 generals were appointed from 1955 to 1988, ranking first in the country; Hong'an also contributed the precious lives of 140000 outstanding sons and daughters to the victory of the Chinese revolution, among which 22552 were registered as martyrs. In order to commemorate the martyrs who died in the jute uprising and the struggle in the revolutionary base areas of Hubei, Henan and Anhui Soviet areas, the jute uprising and the revolutionary martyrs' cemetery in Hubei, Henan and Anhui Soviet areas were built in 1956, with the approval of the people's Government of Hubei Province. It covers an area of 341 Mu and a planned area of 500 mu. The main memorial buildings in the cemetery are "one monument, two games, two parks and five halls": the monument to the Huangma uprising and the revolutionary martyrs in the Hubei Henan Anhui Soviet Area, the memorial to Guangchang history, the cemetery of Guangchang general, the cemetery of the old Red Army, the memorial to the Huangma uprising and the revolutionary history in the Hubei Henan Anhui Soviet Area, the memorial to the Huangma uprising and the revolutionary martyrs in the Hubei Henan Anhui Soviet Area, the memorial to Dong Biwu, the memorial to Li Xiannian, and the memorial to Hong'an General hall, etc.

Hong'an martyrs cemetery

Hongan martyrs' cemetery is located on the highland mountain beside the cemetery Avenue in Hongan County, Hubei Province. It is mainly composed of memorial archway, jute uprising, monument to revolutionary martyrs in Hubei Henan Anhui Soviet Area, martyrs' ancestral hall, ashes hall, Dong Biwu memorial hall, Li Xiannian memorial hall, martyrs' Memorial Hall, martyrs' tombs and gardens in jute Chengyi and Hubei Henan Anhui revolutionary base area. It is a national key cultural relics protection unit. It covers an area of about 1 square kilometer.

Hong'an gave birth to two presidents, Dong Biwu and Li Xiannian; produced more than 200 senior generals of the people's army, among whom 61 generals were appointed from 1955 to 1988, ranking first in the country; formed three main Red Army forces, the Fourth Front Army, the 25th army and the 28th army; and dedicated the precious lives of 140000 outstanding sons and daughters to the victory of the Chinese revolution There are 22552 martyrs on the register.

In order to commemorate the martyrs who died in the jute uprising and the struggle in the revolutionary base areas of Hubei, Henan and Anhui Soviet areas, the jute uprising and the revolutionary martyrs' cemetery in Hubei, Henan and Anhui Soviet areas were built in 1956, with the approval of the people's Government of Hubei Province. The main memorial buildings in the cemetery are "one monument, two games, two parks and five halls": the monument to the jute uprising and the revolutionary martyrs in the Hubei Henan Anhui Soviet Area, the memorial square, the sinking square of the historical memorial hall, the general's cemetery, the cemetery of the old red army, the jute uprising and the revolutionary historical Memorial Hall in the Hubei Henan Anhui Soviet Area, the jute uprising and the revolutionary martyrs memorial hall in the Hubei Henan Anhui Soviet Area, the Dong Biwu memorial hall, and the Li Xiannian Memorial Hall General Hall of Hong'an. In addition, there are revolutionary martyrs memorial wall, Haoqi beacon tower, arboretum and tourism service center. It is a holy place to purify the soul and improve the personality; it is a place for the majority of Party members and cadres to learn the party's history and strengthen the party spirit training; it is a classroom for the majority of young people to carry out patriotism and revolutionary tradition education, carry forward and cultivate the national spirit; it is a holy land for the masses of the people to cherish the memory of the martyrs, feel the history and cultivate their sentiment. The construction and development of the cemetery has been concerned and supported by leaders at all levels and all walks of life. The cemetery is a national key martyr memorial building protection unit awarded by the Ministry of civil affairs. It is the first batch of "national 100 patriotism education bases" named by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee. It is one of the 30 excellent red tourism routes and 100 classic scenic spots. It is "the most important revolutionary traditional education base in Hubei Province" and "the first-class revolutionary education base in China" established by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee. In 2006, the cemetery was rated as "civilized scenic spot in Hubei Province"; on January 23, 2009, it was approved as a national 4A scenic spot by the national quality rating committee of scenic spots; in August 2009, the management and service of the cemetery passed the ISO9001:2008 quality management system certification. The cemetery has successively received party and state leaders such as Dong Biwu, Li Xiannian, Jiang Zemin, Li Peng, Li Ruihuan, Qiao Shi, Wu Bangguo, Liu Huaqing, Wen Jiabao, Zeng Qinghong, Liu Yunshan and Yu Zhengsheng to visit and inspect. It receives an average of more than 300000 visitors every year, and has established cooperative relations with more than 500 units.

Through the green tile and red eaves of the high memorial archway, we can see the jute uprising and the monument of revolutionary martyrs in Hubei Henan Anhui Soviet area. The towering monument is engraved with inscriptions by Ye Jianying, Xu Qianqian and Li Xiannian. On the front of the pedestal is a five-star stele emblem. In the middle of the pedestal is a wreath carved with white marble. On the left and right are relief carvings depicting the jute uprising and the armed struggle of the military and the people in the Soviet area to defend the Soviet regime. In front of the pedestal are inscriptions written by the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee and the provincial government. The statues on both sides of the monument are vivid and majestic. On the left is an armed farmer with a big knife on his back and a high Gong, symbolizing the jute uprising. On the right are Red Army soldiers holding steel guns and marching forward bravely, symbolizing the armed struggle of the army and people in the base area.

A hundred meters behind the monument is the martyr's Shrine, in which there is a martyr's memorial hall, displaying the roster of revolutionary heroes in Hongan county and wreaths presented by people from all walks of life. Behind the ancestral hall is the ashes hall, and to the East are Dong Biwu Memorial Hall and Hong'an County Museum. Marshal Xu Qianqian inscribed the name of Dong Biwu Memorial Hall. The white marble statue of Dong Biwu is kind and comfortable. Several photos and dozens of objects in the museum show Dong Biwu's great life.

The Museum of Hong'an County, inscribed by Dong Biwu, is one of the earliest county-level museums in China, with a construction area of 970 square meters. It displays historical relics and relevant pictures of the people of Hong'an in various periods, such as the peasant movement, the jute uprising and the establishment of the base areas of Hubei, Henan and Anhui under the leadership of the Communist Party of China. It praises the people of Hong'an's indomitable, successive and continuous development“ The spirit of "revolution, no money, no life, no family" and the great contribution made to the Chinese revolution.

To the west of the martyrs' shrine is the newly built Li Xiannian memorial hall, whose name was inscribed by Comrade Chen Yun. It covers an area of 3000 square meters. It was completed in June 1997 by Jiang Zemin, Li Peng
