Kizil reservoir is located in Kizil Township and Sailimu Town, Baicheng County, Aksu, Xinjiang. The upstream of the reservoir is 41 km away from Baicheng County in the west, the dam is 60 km away from Kuqa County in the southeast, and 9.7 km south from Kizil Township section of 307 provincial road of Baiku. There is an asphalt road to reach the dam of the reservoir. Kizil reservoir is a valley reservoir, which is a key large-scale water control project in Weigan River Basin. Kizil reservoir covers an area of 44.6 square kilometers, with an average water depth of 15 meters, and the deepest can reach about 40 meters. It is the largest regulating reservoir mainly for irrigation and flood control, taking into account power generation, fish culture and tourism. The main dam of the reservoir is 920 meters long, the maximum dam height is 44 meters, the dam crest width is 10 meters, and the dam crest is equipped with 1.2 meters high steel mud concrete wave wall. The length of the auxiliary dam is 1288m, the maximum dam height is 32m, and the width of the dam crest is 16m. The dam types are clay core wall and sand gravel shell dam. The reservoir was built in 1985 and completed in 1992. The engineering grade is first class. Kizil reservoir F2 active fault is a large-scale longitudinal fault in the fold of Queletage mountain, which is a small branch of the complex geological structure in the east-west direction of Tianshan Mountains. The hanging wall of the fault is tertiary argillaceous sandstone, and the footwall is quaternary sandy gravel. The vertical fault distance is 14 meters, and the width of the fault zone is about 80 meters. At present, the fault is still active. This geological section is a rare intuitive teaching material in China, which has very important scientific research value. Now it has been protected by the wall around Kizil reservoir and opened to the outside world as a geological section.
Kizil reservoir
Kizil reservoir is located in Baicheng County, Aksu area. It is a large-scale control water control project in the Weigan River Basin of Tarim River system, which is mainly for irrigation and flood control, and also has comprehensive benefits such as hydropower generation, with a total storage capacity of 640 million cubic meters.
survey
The largest catchment area of the reservoir is 44 square kilometers, which is the habitat of the endangered rare fish species in the world - flatfish (commonly known as Xinjiang bighead, national first-class protected animal) and pike (national second-class protected animal), providing good breeding conditions for flatfish and pike.
As the largest reservoir in Xinjiang, Kizil reservoir has unique natural resources, vast water area, magnificent engineering buildings, uneven buildings and pavilions, and jagged rocks around. It is adjacent to Kizil thousand Buddha cave, one of the four famous Buddhist grottoes in China. After years of construction, the beautiful natural scenery and unique geographical features of the western region are organically integrated Close together. It has become a good place for people to have a holiday.
history
Kizil reservoir is a national key construction project during the Seventh Five Year Plan and the eighth five year plan. It is a control project for the comprehensive management and development of Weigan River, and also the largest river blocking water control project in the autonomous region. The project was started in 1985 and completed in 1994 after 10 years of construction.
The Kizil reservoir project was designed by Xinjiang water resources and Hydropower Survey and Design Institute, and its supplementary design was approved by the former Ministry of hydropower in 1984. In March 1985, the people's Government of the Autonomous Region decided to set up a leading group for the construction of the Kizil reservoir project in the autonomous region with an office to implement the construction plan. At the end of 1986, the people's Government of the autonomous region approved the establishment of the Kizil reservoir project headquarters to undertake the general task of project construction and exercise the authority of the construction unit (Party A). In 1991, with the approval of the Ministry of water resources, the total budget estimate of Kizil reservoir project was 385 million yuan.
Kizil reservoir is located in Baicheng County, Aksu area, where muzati River and Kizil River meet. Weigan River belongs to the Tarim River system, with a drainage area of 72400 square kilometers and an average annual runoff of 2.19 billion cubic meters. The runoff is mainly supplied by snowmelt and the flood is mainly rainstorm. Weigan River Basin is an important production base of grain, cotton, sugar beet and oil crops in Xinjiang. It is divided into upstream Baicheng irrigation area and downstream Kuqa, Shaya and Xinhe irrigation areas. There are oil fields in the basin.
benefit
The total storage capacity of Kizil reservoir is 640 million cubic meters, and Xingli reservoir is 477 million cubic meters. The highest water level is 1149.6m, the design flood level (P0.1%) is 1148.57m, the check flood level (= 0.01%) is 1151.06m, and the dead water level is 1135m. The scale of the project is large (I), and the annual regulation of all runoff is carried out. The task of the reservoir is irrigation, flood control, power generation and aquaculture, and to provide conditions for urban and industrial water supply and ecological water improvement, as well as water regulation for the three cascade hydropower stations downstream of the reservoir.
The benefits of the reservoir project can meet the irrigation requirements of 113300 hectares of farmland in the irrigated areas of Kuqa, Shaya and Xinhe counties. The final designed irrigation area of the irrigation area is 213300 hectares, which increases the flood control standard along the lower reaches of the river from 5-10 year return period flood to 100 year return period flood, and protects the farmland of Shaya, Xinhe and their irrigation areas from flood disaster. The installed capacity of the power station is 26000 kW, the guaranteed output is 64000 kW, and the annual generating capacity is 13400 kW · H.
The completion of Kizil reservoir project plays an effective role in promoting and guaranteeing the development of industrial and agricultural production, urban water supply, flood control and disaster relief in the surrounding areas.
