Shunde flower world is a flower trading center integrating flower production, sales, scientific research and tourism. Chencun flower world is located in Chencun Town, Shunde District, known as the "Millennium Flower Town", with convenient transportation. It is 20 minutes' drive from Guangzhou, 25 minutes from Shunde City and only a few minutes from Foshan. In order to promote the industrialization of flower industry, Chencun town built a flower trading center Chencun flower world in 1998, which integrates five functions of flower production, sales, tourism, scientific research and information. The overall planning of Chencun flower world is 10000 mu, with two markets and one Park China Flower Trade Square, International Orchid trade center and Flower World Park, which are divided into three functional areas: 3000 mu sales area, 6000 mu high-tech planting area and 1000 mu comprehensive service supporting area. Now 4500 mu of land has been developed, 430 million yuan of capital has been introduced, and more than 280 professional flower companies from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao, South Korea, Singapore, Australia, Japan, the Netherlands, France and other parts of China have been attracted to enter the market.

Project achievements

Chencun flower world has made gratifying achievements with its amazing speed of construction and development. It has been identified as the national Spark Program project, the national key flower market, the hometown of flowers and trees in China, the modern agricultural demonstration zone of Foshan City in Guangdong Province, the high-tech agricultural tourism project of Foshan City and Wangcun City, and has successfully held the "first flower fair in Guangdong Province and the 15th spring flower fair of Chencun" The two events attracted more than 1 billion tourists to enjoy and buy flowers respectively, and the flower trade volume exceeded 300 million.

Flora Expo

From September 28 to October 7, 2001, Chencun flower world will usher in the "Fifth China Flower Expo and the third China Flower Fair" sponsored by China Flower Association and Guangdong Provincial People's government and undertaken by Guangdong Flower Association and Shunde Municipal People's government. China Flower Expo is held once every four years. The first three were held in Beijing and the fourth in Shanghai. It is the largest and highest level flower event in China. This flower fair coincides with China's accession to the WTO, and it is the first time to be held in China's famous flower production base and key flower market, which is of great significance. The Expo will be divided into three areas: indoor exhibition area, outdoor exhibition area and trading area to show the development level of flowers and related industries in an all-round way. The conference will also organize a variety of activities, such as special lectures, on-site flower arrangement performance, ceramic art exhibition, calligraphy and painting masters' impromptu writing, photography competition, float tour, art performance, etc. It is estimated that there will be more than 400 domestic flower enterprises, more than 100 foreign flower merchants and more than 1 million visitors.
