Heishuiguo site and Han tombs are located 12.5 kilometers northwest of Zhangye, 15 kilometers long from north to South and 10 kilometers long from east to west. There are Han Dynasty Tombs in the site, about 4 square kilometers. Most of the tombs have been buried in the sand, and most of those not buried in the desert have been excavated before liberation.
In 1956, the national geological survey team carried out an investigation and found that there was an ancient city under the site. It is said that before the Western Han Dynasty, Xiongnu immigrated here and designated Xinjiang as the capital of xiaoyueshi. Because the local people called Xiongnu "black Xiongnu", it was called "Heishui state".

legend
In the Sui Dynasty, there was a general named Han Shilong stationed in this city. One evening, an old man with white hair and beard came to the ancient city, empty handed, but peddled "dates" and "pears" along the street. When he called across the street, he disappeared. People were puzzled and reported to General Han. Han Shilong felt strange, but he soon realized that the immortal had to "leave early". So he made a quick decision and led the army and the people to abandon the city overnight. As expected, there was a strong wind in the middle of the night, destroying the city and uprooting the houses. Overnight, the city was buried by the sand.
Once upon a time, there was a shepherd who was herding sheep near Blackwater. One of his shepherd dogs disappeared every day when he arrived in Blackwater. The shepherd felt very strange and wanted to find out. One day, he quietly followed the shepherd dog to the broken city wall, saw the shepherd dog into a water hole, he also went in, the hole was like a palace, every door is full of gold and silver treasures, until the ninth door, the last door, saw a golden moon on the table, shepherd was overjoyed, want to take the golden moon home, but As soon as he picked it up, the room was dark and there was no exit. He had to put it down, and the light returned to the room. After the shepherd came out of the cave, he dreamed of taking out the golden moon, but overnight, the wind and sand buried everything, and he could no longer find the entrance.
After that, a county king wanted to build a new city. In order to maintain stability, he asked experts to survey Fengshui everywhere. One day, a wandering monk passed by and said to the county king: I have a copper coin. Throw it out and build the city wherever it falls. It will keep the golden city forever. The princess thought that it was not easy to find how far a copper coin could be thrown. As a result, as soon as the monk raised his hand and threw it, the copper coin flew up in the air, and the soldiers chased after it. They chased it for three or forty miles before they saw that the copper coin had fallen on the Bank of a reed stream. Where can I find a copper coin when the stream is full of reeds? Just when people had no idea, a Taoist came, took out a silver needle, put it on the ground and said: here it is. People rushed to dig, and the silver needle was just inserted in the hole of the copper coin. So the bell and Drum Tower was built here, and the four streets in the East, West, North and South were built with this as the center, so that today's Zhangye city came into being.
There is a saying that a battle destroyed an oasis. At the end of the Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, general Feng Sheng led his army to besiege the yuan army guarding Heishui city in the Hexi Corridor, damming the weak river beside the city, leading to the drying up of water wells in the city. The garrison was forced to abandon the city and break through the encirclement. The officers and soldiers either died or surrendered to the Ming army. The damming led to the diversion of weak water to the north, and the ancient Juyanhai dried up. Because the local precipitation is only 37 mm, but the evaporation is as high as 3706 mm, under such arid conditions, the oasis disappears due to lack of water, the desert spreads, and the residents are forced to move out.
Han Tombs
On the north and south sides of the Han tombs, there are two ancient castles with the same shape and square plane. The South castle is 248 meters long from east to west and 222 meters wide from north to south. It opens in the East and adds an urn. The door is 7 meters wide, the wall is 4.6 meters thick, and the rammed earth is 0.15 meters thick. There are no buildings in the castle. There are a lot of bricks and tiles on the ground surface, and stones and other objects are also found. The distance between the North Castle and the South castle is about 1 km. It is 245 meters long from east to west and 220 meters wide from north to south. The door is opened in the South and is about 4 meters wide. The southwest corner of the city wall is built with earth platform, which is square and 7.5 meters long on each side. The North Castle has been buried in quicksand.
enlightenment
Blackwater, an ancient city named after water, is so classic and decadent. Although the yellow sand of the years has covered her face, and the dust of history has deprived her of prosperity, along the endless memory of the river, you can still see the seasons living in it, the rivers wriggling under your feet, and you can still feel the fatigue and happiness of the countryside hidden by the green trees However, you can appreciate the ancient wind direction, greet the vast world from afar, and still hear the distant pastoral songs and the clarion call of war, reaching your heart from the depth of history.
A city or a small country is also very vulnerable. Birth and death, build and destroy, destroy and build. There is life and there is death. It was so easy. Of course, there are some ecological disasters that people can't help. If nature wants to destroy a city, no one can stop it. Isn't the Tangshan earthquake? However, the destruction of some cities is man-made and people dig their own graves. For example, the destruction of the environment, water shortage and pollution can destroy a city. Therefore, every time I come here, I have some feelings and some sadness.
