Shentangyu scenic spot

Shentangyu natural scenic spot is located in the north of Fangezhuang Township in the north of Huairou city. It is 60km away from Beijing, adjacent to Yanqi Lake in the East, Hongluo temple in the South and Mutianyu Great Wall in the West. The scenic spot is a gully with two mountains, about 10 kilometers long.

Development history

In history, shentangyu is a fortress in the capital. The fortress site built in the Wanli period of Ming Dynasty is intact. The ancient Great Wall has gone through many vicissitudes. It is still magnificent. It provides a good place for people to visit the ancient. During the Anti Japanese War, "Longtan Massacre" happened in Longtan. There are three peaks in the natural landscape, of which the main peak of tianjiding is 875 meters above sea level. The vegetation coverage rate of the mountain is more than 95%. In the dense trees, there are more than 100 kinds of animals, such as badger, roe deer, squirrel, pheasant, hare and so on. There are more than 100 kinds of wild fruits such as YINGSHANHONG, shanjuhua, hebaohua, hazelnut, shancherry and wild grape, dozens of wild vegetables such as jujube, Magnolia sprout, cauliflower and longevity vegetable, and more than 100 kinds of medicinal plants such as Danshen, Dingding, Shanjiang and Tougu grass. There are more than 2000 mu of Pinus tabulaeformis, mulberry, walnut, red fruit, Dabian, chestnut and other forest fruits. The landscape in the valley is: "stone waterfall" is a huge granite wall of more than 100 square meters, which is smooth and flat due to the perennial rain erosion, such as two static waterfalls, so it is called "stone waterfall". In the scenic area, there are also some landscapes, such as Jigong Shenguan, one stone with three sceneries, Luotuofeng, woxiang hall, fairy cave, Zhenshan Shengui, Yuanyang pool, sage Songjing, Tianshu stone, Fenghuangling, the first waterfall of Shentang, Nuwa house, etc. In the valley, dozens of springs converge to form the source of Yanqi River. The river is curved and the peak turns back. The water flow is 3-5 m3 / s, and the water temperature is maintained at about 15 ℃. In 1992, it was proved that the spring water contained potassium, lithium, metasilicic acid, magnesium bicarbonate, calcium bicarbonate and other beneficial components, which met the national secondary standard for drinking water. The spring water converges with the mountain into Longtan, Yuanyang pool, crocodile pool, Yixian pool and other water landscape. The "Longtan Massacre" in the Anti Japanese war happened here. Monuments have been erected at the site and awarded the title of patriotic education base by Beijing Municipal Party committee. The scenic spot holds a golden autumn leaf picking Festival from September to October every year.
