Located in Gaolan County, northeast of Lanzhou, Gansu Province, there is an ancient town called shiwailiyuan Shichuan. Shichuan town is located about 20 kilometers northeast of Lanzhou. The Yellow River passes through its belly. It is rich in melons and fruits, and is known as "little Jiangnan". The Yellow River, the mother river, turns around here and goes northward, leaving an unchanging fertile field for this land and water. There are green mountains in the north and south, and turbulence in the East and West. The scenery is beautiful and the climate is pleasant. However, the most amazing thing is that there is the largest pear garden in China. Almost every family in Shichuan grows pears for their business and pleasure. Pear trees are planted all over the country. Most of Shichuan pear trees are more than 300 years old, with strong old branches and different shapes. What's more surprising is that most of them are still luxuriant and can blossom and bear fruit. During the stroll, the lush pear tree crown is dependent on each other, and it stretches continuously. Under the shade, the flowing water is murmuring, and the seedlings are green. Occasionally, there are one or two courtyards, with green bricks and red tiles, and wood leaves and stone mills, which are full of ancient flavor. Occasionally, from the depths of the forest came one or two barks, but soon calmed down again. Maybe it's the cold outside the Great Wall. The pear leaves here are extremely thick and shining like metal. A gust of wind seems to have tens of thousands of wind bells ringing. It's crisp and pleasant. Only the most blazing sunlight in the west can cast a fine shadow through the thick leaves. When the wind comes, it feels like the whole ancient town is swaying in the light wave. The scenery of Shichuan pear garden is best in spring and autumn. When you come to Shichuan in spring, the first thing you can see is the pear blossoms along the river in full bloom in the wind, which inlays two snow-white lace on the ancient Yellow River. The snow billows in the forest, the colorful butterflies flying, and the fragrance of flowers in the mountains and fields. Looking from afar, you can see only pear blossom, but not the ancient town. In the golden autumn, the frost leaves are red and the forest is dyed. The golden pears are hanging all over the branches and are about to fall. Every orchard is full of happy people. All kinds of vehicles full of pears are busy delivering sweetness to the city and countryside. Shichuan pear is most famous for its soft pears. It is one of the most popular pears in the severe winter season. Soft pears are fragrant, mellow and sweet. Yu Youren, a KMT veteran, once wrote a poem praising: "in the ice and snow, soft pear is the first wonder in the city of melons and fruits. If you don't take the beauty from the trees, the fragrance will turn into mud. " Until late autumn, in the yellow leaves falling day by day, the ancient town covered by pear trees for more than half a year will gradually emerge.
