The length and width of the lowest floor of the base are 12.3m and 8.4m respectively. history
The tower has always been mistaken for an ancient beacon tower by local residents, so it is also called "moredun", which means flue. The pagoda is backed by the ancient matag mountain and faces the chakmak River, on a sand dune about 30 km northeast of Kashgar City. Founded in the Tang Dynasty, it has a history of more than 1000 years. With a height of about 13 meters, it is one of the relics of ancient Buddhist temples. It consists of an oval tower body and a high platform covered with a bucket. The tower body is made of square and trapezoidal Adobe from wheat straw and loess. It has three square seats, one smaller than the other. On the third floor square seat is a cylindrical "waist", on which there is a large oval top. The tower is hollow, and the climbing footwell can be seen on the top. There is a round hole on the top. Next to the tower, there is a huge platform, such as an inverted Big Dipper, with a big bottom and a small top. The bottom is 25 meters long and 23.6 meters wide; the top is 14.2 meters long and 12.5 meters wide; the platform is 7 meters tall. It is the central building of this group of Buddhist temples, which is specially used to serve the Buddha. Although the Buddha statues in the niches on the walls of the temple have disappeared, the traces of the niches for the Buddha are still indistinct. There is a group of monk house ruins in the southeast of molfo pagoda. On the sand below the slope, there is a row of ancient Karez, about 1 km long, which is the water source for the monks of that year. After Islam was officially introduced into Kashgar in the early 10th century, the temple of morfota disappeared in the war.
