Nanning Zoo

Nanning zoo is the largest zoo in Guangxi and the largest theme park in Nanning. There are 250 kinds of animals such as dolphins and elephants and more than 2500 animals in the park. Nanning Zoo

Nanning zoo, located at No.73, Daxue East Road, Nanning City, was founded in 1973 and officially opened to the outside world in 1975. It covers a total area of 39.1 hectares and receives more than 1 million domestic and foreign tourists every year. It is the only professional large-scale zoo in Guangxi that focuses on viewing wild animals and conducts remote protection, breeding management, scientific research and breeding of wild animals. Park scale

The garden covers an area of 39.1 hectares, including 31.1 hectares of land and 8 hectares of water (about 17804.6 square meters). At the end of 1995 and the beginning of 1996, XiXiangTang road occupied 1.72 hectares. In May 2003, XueDa road occupied 0.82 hectares. By the end of 2004, the actual park area was 36.56 hectares, including 4.16 hectares of water surface.

With natural undulating terrain, shady trees and green grass, the park has the characteristics of subtropical South China and ecological landscape, and is praised as "the zoo in the botanical garden" by landscape experts. The park is composed of more than 30 landscapes, including dolphin Pavilion, elephant Pavilion, gibbon Pavilion, black leaf monkey Pavilion, giraffe Pavilion, Penguin Pavilion, hippo Pavilion, reptile Pavilion, rhinoceros Pavilion, kangaroo Pavilion and waterfowl lake. There are more than 2500 animals of 250 species on display, such as dolphins, sea lions, Asian elephants, African elephants, giraffes, Siberian tigers, African lions, gibbons, black leaf monkeys, hippos, rhinoceros and other precious species. The main design of the whole building is based on the Zhuang characteristic bronze drum and hydrangea. It is composed of behavior display platform, performance pool, rest pool, treatment pool and auditorium. The auditorium can accommodate more than 2000 visitors.

The marine animal protection center of Nanning zoo attracts many tourists from outside Guangxi every year.
