Zige mountain, formerly known as zigai mountain, was the first famous mountain in Zhongnan in ancient times. Because of the beautiful scenery of Zige mountain and its close distance to Chang'an City in Tang Dynasty, it attracted many Buddhist and Taoist practitioners to go to Qingxiu and live in seclusion. Temples, caves, mountains and streams can become religious temples. From the Han Dynasty, Zhang Liang, a famous man, lived in Wuliang cave for summer, and in Zhangliang cave for seclusion. Fazang in Northern Zhou Dynasty also practiced here. Later, there were many eminent monks in Tang Dynasty, such as daoxuan, Chujin and Feixi In addition, many scholars took advantage of the existing temples on the mountain to study and exchange knowledge with Yixue monks. If they had achieved anything, they would go down to the mountain to take an exam. Or they would take seclusion as a means to become famous. Zige mountain was a good place for scholars at that time, whether it was true seclusion or false seclusion.
