Longbeishan Forest Park

Longbeishan Forest Park is located in the south of Yixing City, covering an area of 550 hectares, with rolling hills and dense vegetation. The park started construction in 2000, with an investment of 300 million yuan and various infrastructure facilities in place. Wenfeng tower, historical Hall of fame, science and Education Hall of fame, art hall of fame and a large number of scenic spots have been completed and opened. In the park, there are tens of thousands of square meters of green lawns; osmanthus garden, Rhododendron Garden and rose garden are inlaid among green pines and bamboos, while the rock green waterfall, inkstone pond green waves and luxuriant forests and bamboos often make tourists forget to return. Longbeishan Forest Park is the largest urban ecological park in Shanghai, Nanjing and Hangzhou. It receives more than 500000 tourists from home and abroad every year.

The origin of the name

Origin one

Longbeishan Forest Park, located at the southernmost end of Renmin Road in Yixing, is a comprehensive ecological leisure and entertainment park integrating the charming landscape and cultural landscape. There are two versions of the origin of the name of Longbei mountain. One is that the original name of Longbei mountain is hongdang mountain. It is the general name of more than ten small hills winding eastward from Tongguan mountain to Xiaoling mountain, Longtan mountain, CANGPU mountain and Meiling mountain. It is like a long green dragon lying in the southern suburb of Yangxian ancient city, so it is called "Longbei mountain".

Two origins

It is also said that in the Jin Dynasty, Yixing produced a dragon, which often sent water to harm the people. At that time, a white headed tiger appeared in Nanshan, which also often hurt people. In addition, a villainous young man, Zhou Chu, harmed his neighbors. Yixing called it three evils. One year, the dragon made a huge flood (Yixing called it "Fajiao") and the flood went all the way to the foot of Tongguan mountain. After the flood receded, there were two big ponds, each about three mu in size. It was said that the two forepaws of the Dragon had caught them. Later, the dragon and tiger were killed by ZhouChu, but the undulating hills in this area are like the back of the dragon, so they are called "Longbei mountain".

Listen to qiuxuan

Tingqiuxuan is located in Xianqin temple at the foot of Longbei mountain outside the South Gate of Yixing City. From the Yuan Dynasty to the Zhengyuan year (1341), sengfang was built. Ke Jiusi, a famous painter and poet of the Yuan Dynasty, wrote a poem listening to qiuxuan: "the clear pool is covered with bamboo, and the birds are singing; the night is quiet, and the sky is quiet, and the White Dew is cool; if you ask Sergeant Xuan, how can you listen to the noise; if you don't work, there is no end, and the emptiness is dynamic." It was destroyed in 1356. In the 28th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1600), Wu Zhengzhi, a native of the city, rebuilt the "tingqiuxuan". In the seventh year of the Apocalypse (1627), monks sincerely raised money to rebuild. Chongzhen nine years (1636) donated Jin Jun release pool, the city people Cao Yingzhi (official Henan bingbei Road) as a record. Couplets: (1) the empty threshold is gathered; (2) the wind corridor is leaning on the clear water.

West stone pavilion

Xishiting, a xitingbu, shitingbu, meihuawu, retro Pavilion. It is located in Longbei mountain area in the south of Yixing City. Once upon a time, Sumei was produced here, and its branches were very ancient. During the reign of emperor Zhaozong of the Tang Dynasty, Prime Minister Lu Xisheng once enjoyed plum blossoms here, and wrote a poem "plum blossom dock" which says: "the frozen pistil is fragrant, the snow is fresh, the hill is deep, and the dock is accompanied by a hermit; knowing that you intend to be cold, you are ashamed to have a spring like a thousand flowers." In the Ming Dynasty, Wu Shi, a native of Sichuan Province, bought land to plant plum trees and built a pavilion called "xishiting".

Shehu Pavilion

Shehu Pavilion is located in a hill of Longbei mountain area in the south of Yixing City. This place is commonly known as "tiger pier". The general of the Jin Dynasty shot white forehead tiger here. It is said that in ancient times, the mountain area of Longbei was high in mountains and dense in forests. It was a place where tigers and wolves came and went, especially the white headed tigers, which repeatedly injured people and animals and harmed people.
