No.2 Yanwu lane, Jiangdong, Ningbo city is the memorial hall of Ningbo Federation of trade unions during the great revolution and the former site of that year. In the summer of 1926, Ningbo workers' Federation was founded. Under the leadership of the Ningbo prefectural Party committee, the Ningbo workers' Federation of trade unions fought with the reactionaries in an indomitable legal struggle. In March 1927, the reactionaries burned down the seat of the workers' Federation of trade unions at 30 Qianyuan lane. The Federation of trade unions had to move to No.2 Yanwu lane, Jiangdong. Chiang Kai Shek launched the April 12 coup and brutally suppressed the Ningbo workers' movement. The Federation of trade unions was closed and the leader of the workers' movement, Yang Meishan, was killed. In the former site of Ningbo Federation of trade unions, there is a exhibition room for the historical relics of Ningbo workers' movement, which tells the youth about that period of history.
Former site of the Federation of trade unions
The former site of the Federation of trade unions is located at 2 Yanwu street, Jiangdong District, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. Key cultural relics protection units at the provincial level.. The former site of Ningbo Federation of trade unions was the place where Ningbo Federation of trade unions worked during the great revolution. It symbolized that the working class in Ningbo had a glorious tradition of indomitable struggle against the reactionaries and a fearless and heroic spirit, which had a far-reaching influence in the modern history of Ningbo.
After the May 30th Movement and the strike in 1925, the working class in Ningbo, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, organized trade unions in response to the support, and established the Ningbo Federation of trade unions in July 1926. The site of the Federation of trade unions was originally located at the right head of No. 30 Qianyuan Lane on the North Bank of the Yangtze River. Because it was burned down by the Kuomintang authorities, it was moved to No. 65 Manao road. Because the house was too small, it was moved to the site of Yanwu Street in Jiangdong. After the "April 12" incident, workers' leaders Wang Kun and Yang Meishan were arrested, the Federation of trade unions was closed, and the workers' movement was transferred from open to underground. The former site is a Chinese style building, with a construction area of 1435 square meters. The main building in the center is three floors. The first floor is the auditorium, the third floor is the office, and there are two rooms with seven rooms on both sides. They are used for Hefeng yarn factory, Shunji iron factory, Meiqiu socks factory, rice industry, posts and telecommunications, railway, seafarers and other grass-roots trade union offices. Now, after renovation, it is renamed Ningbo workers' Movement Memorial Hall. On the second floor, there is a "exhibition of Ningbo workers' movement historical relics", which is open to the outside world.
