Wanfangting Park

Wanfangting park is located in the west of Xiluoyuan community, Fengtai District, Beijing, on the north side of the South Third Ring Road, covering an area of 10.6 hectares. At the beginning, it was green land. According to research, it is the site of yuanliyuan envoy's villa. In early 1990, the people's Government of Fengtai District decided to rebuild the park, which was designed by the urban landscape Bureau of Fengtai District, including land preparation and road paving, planting flowers and trees, building antique archways and gates, antique pavilions and houses, and children's paradise. Construction started in March, completed in July, and officially opened to the public in October.

Park overview

As one of the few comprehensive parks along the Third Ring Road in Nancheng, since its establishment in 1990, it has focused on the surrounding residents, mainly providing a place for morning exercise, walking and activities for the people in the surrounding residential areas.

With the continuous development of urban construction in Beijing, the number of residential areas in Yangqiao and its surrounding areas has gradually increased, with about 500000 people living here. In 2001, it was rated as a 2A scenic spot by the National Tourism Administration.

In 2005, it was rated as the national fitness landscape and Beijing advanced sports unit by Beijing Sports Bureau.

Transformation

In 2008, the park began comprehensive transformation, gradually improve the park's facilities, improve the environment of the park. There are tennis hall, badminton hall, football field, basketball court, table tennis and multi-functional fitness field in the park. There are also children's amusement facilities such as bumper cars, inflatable castles and trampolines in the park.

Wanfangting park is located on the west side of Yangqiao, Fengtai District, Beijing, and the north side of South Third Ring Road West, covering an area of 10.6 hectares. It is a second-class Park and a national AA tourist attraction in Beijing.

According to textual research, this is the site of yuanliyuan villa. It was built in 1990. The park is full of trees and fresh air. Hundreds of cherry blossoms were planted in the park, which complements the wooden golf course in the park. There are also four shady fitness squares in the park, which achieves the organic combination of sports and garden. A set of National Fitness Standard project, 21 table tennis tables, 4 standard basketball stands and an open-air closed comprehensive sports court are installed for free. There is a new tennis hall in the west of the park, with three standard indoor tennis courts and one outdoor tennis court.

Self driving line

The Yangqiao overpass along the South Third Ring Road will drive out of the main road, 200 meters west along the auxiliary road to the South Gate on the east side of the park, and 400 meters west to the South Gate on the west side of the park. There are free parking lots in both places.

festival activities

Large scale outdoor table tennis competition: the competition is held on July 13 and 14 every year for table tennis fans in the whole city. In 2003, the first table tennis open competition was held to celebrate the second anniversary of the successful application for the Olympic Games.
