Xiyuan, where the presidential palace is located, has a history of more than 600 years. It was not only the central seat of the national government, but also witnessed the rise and fall of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom and Liangjiang governor Yamen.

Chinese and Western courtyard, western office building, Chinese garden. It retains the same pattern of Jiangnan classical gardens, pavilions, small bridges and flowing water. On the central axis, there are buildings with progressive layers, and on both sides are gardens. And the photos of Sun Yat Sen, Chiang Kai Shek, Song Meiling and others appearing on the wall from time to time also make people sigh about the vicissitudes of the times.

The presidential palace is divided into three regions. The central area (the central axis) is mainly the national government, the presidential palace and its affiliated institutions; the western area is Sun Yat Sen's temporary presidential office, the Secretariat, the west garden and the headquarters of the general staff; the eastern area is mainly the former site of the Executive Yuan, the stables and the east garden. A series of exhibition halls and historical materials display are distributed in these three areas.

Ticket information: ID card is required for ticket purchase. 40 yuan per person, stop selling tickets one hour before closing. Opening hours: 8:30-18:00 from March 1 to October 31; 8:30-17:00 from November 1 to February 28 (29); ticket sales will stop one hour before closing, and entry will stop 50 minutes before closing. Except for legal holidays, the museum will be closed all day on Monday and new year's Eve.
